what a way different game this would have been with points on the redzone INT. That very well could have been a 10 point swing.

Defense showed up in the 2nd half but this offense with or with out Geno wasnt going to do shit.

Every single reporter who attended training camp was clear that this is who Howell is.

More reps aren't going to change who he is
Yeah the reports aren’t rosy, but it’s who we have.

Back up get no snaps with the starters and just limited work with the backups. He‘lI do better with a full week of practice. Definitely will need the OL do do better.
Im sure he will get better but I did t see much to suggest he will as good or better than Geno

How could it have been a 10 point swing?

Multiple teams in need of a QB who will be drafting ahead of the Seahawks.
Supposedly a down year for qbs.

Any potential here ?

I think there 2 tiers here:

Now: No. It's not a Now Draft

Project: This is a good draft for Projects or "Mahomesing" a QB

Yeah looks like more of the same but Howell is worse than even Geno at getting the ball out. Time to get serious on this QB talk.

If Seattle kicks the FG there, GB likely gets the ball further from their own end zone on the kickoff. I can't envision a scenario where they get less than 3 points off that last drive before halftime. They're probably more motivated to push for points and less likely to watch 45-60 just bleed away too.

If Seattle scores a TD there it might have sparked the defense a little bit but still GB got a FG after the TO in the endzone. THAT was a nice spark for them. It could have flipped very easily. That is a 10 point swing.

That INT was bad real bad because Lockett was right infront of that play with a perfect shot for a sideline reception and he went to Fant... FANT!

I'd like us to find a competent OC this offseason. I feel like that would help.

Steelers aren't handing out Fields a 5th yr so maybe snag him on a 1yr prove it deal with some incentives. If he's horrendous Seattle will have a high draft pick.

That's a lot of counter-factual speculation.

The truth is that Lockett is probably at fault for that pick. He ran his route too deep and pushed his defender into Fant's route for the easy pick. If Lockett runs the right route, then it's either a TD or, more likely, an incompletion.

Ultimately our defense was flat to start the game. And our OL regressed pretty badly. Losing Olu was bad but it seems like it was Laumea who REALLY struggled this game.

I'm also a little disappointed with the playcalling by Grubb. I don't usually second guess the play caller but I don't understand why we didn't run those outside runs with the pulling guards more.

Fields is a specialty QB. He has accuracy issues and decision making issues.

If we wind up moving on from Geno, I would rather we look for an older reclamation project ala Sam Darnold and draft a QB in the first 3 rounds.

Should have run Charbs to get Howell more comfortable in the pocket.

Now we get the #4 ranked scoring defense and a top 10 offense next week. How ugly could this get?

The reclamation project is Geno. We can't go through that again and I'm not wasting a 3rd rounder on a mediocre QB.
Fields will cost less and use the first 3 picks beefing up the lines.

Lockett also lined up offside twice tonight. Just ridiculous.
