0-3??? As a Coug, one of our better kickers ever back when we were good in the 3 10 win years in a row couldn't kick on natural grass. It came to a head when he Missed some chip shots at notre dame which lead to a loss....... With all the field turf fields now a days, kickers dont get as much practice on the real stuff.

Hauschka have a history of struggling on grass?

Were not gonna play on grass again this year (if we win next week) Until we potentially make the superbowl.... which is in the same stadium as last night....

concerned?

I'm not concerned. Everyone is entitled to an off day and the kicks he missed weren't gimme's. 47, 50 and 52 yarders are 50/50 propositions anyway. Rare to miss all three, but still he's usually very accurate. Plus, I kind of felt like he barely got all three of those off. Seemed like the pressure was right on him, so maybe the line needs to take some small share of the blame too.

Not worried at all. If he'd missed three chip shots, I'd be worried or if he keeps missing kicks next week I'll be worried, but his track record suggests that this was a fluke.

I"m a little worried ... He's been money for us, and you expect a miss every now and then, but man he was WAY off... My worry is this might get in his head a little, and when it comes to longer field goals he might choke up a bit ... He needs to hit a couple clean long ones to get his confidence back...

Not worried at all, every kicker has a clunker of a game. Good to get it out of his system before the playoffs.

My thoughts after that game?

"Glad he got it out of his system. We shouldn't need field goals to win a game against their third option at QB" (Bicycle, Shark).

NO worry what's so ever ? So you feel utterly confident getting to the 30 yard line and having Hausch nail it right down the middle ? I"m a little worried until he knocks a couple crisp ones down from 50 ..

Not worried. Going into last nights game he was the second most accurate kicker in NFL History. Yes, those misses dropped him to 8th, but he's still a top 10 all time accurate kicker. He's second in team history right now as well (0.6% points behind Mare).

As for 50 yarders, where is everyone getting that he struggles with those in the past? going into last night he was 2 for 3 this year and hit nearly 60% for his career here. Hell, if he hits 5 of his next 7 50 yarders, his numbers would look exactly like Josh Brown's in Seattle, the best 50 yard FG kicker Seattle has had.

Hauschka will be fine. Whatever happened last night is in the past, and I bet he's gonna want to make sure that never happens again. He'll be fine.

If it wasn't for Haush's gutsy decision to NOT kick a long field goal when he was uncomfortable with making it we may not have a Superbowl. I think he knows his limitations like he did in the NFCCG last year. If he would have tried that long kick and missed there is a good chance SF wins. Hausch had the balls to let the coach know he didn't feel good about it and the next thing Wilson is hitting Kearse for the TD.

I doubt Hausch another game like the one in Zona ever again. Just one of those things, like Manning throwing 4 picks last night. Shit happens.

OH we know he's been good in the past.... I like the guy... But something was clearly wrong with his kicking in that game... He was hooking his kicks ... Like I said before kickers are gonna miss kicks every now and then, but 3 in a row that were all makable concerns me a bit... His confidence is down right now so until he sticks a couple 50 yarders I"m gonna worry just a bit... Your season can come down to a field goal, so yeah I have to worry a bit....

Yes I do feel confident cause he's proved it before. He hit 5 straight from beyond 50 before the Cards game and I like to think he's the type to put it behind him and move forward. Now, if he misses a couple of short ones against the rams, then there will be some worries.

I'm not worrying over one bad game. It happens. Now if it happens again, then maybe I start worrying.

If I were a Seattle fan I would like to see him hit a few on Sunday before going into the playoffs. You're right they shouldn't need them to beat the Lambs but it would ease my angst if I were a Seattle fan.

What do Seahawks and Raiders have in common ?

They won 3 games against teams that were playoff eligible at the time they played.

Go Raiders !!!!

He had a bad day. He had distance on 2 but missed wide. The team covered for him.
That is my point the grass could cause the ball to come off his foot different thus the mising wide. I'm sure he'll be fine. But Hawk fans must want to see him hit a couple before he needs one in a playoff game is all I'm saying. I would.

There was never anything to worry about. He's not one of the most accurate kickers in league history by accident.
