I dont see why people are outraged in seattle. This is an easy win with your starting qb. Why do we have to start throwing people under the bus when a superstar is injured and things go as predicted.

Yeah I thought Geno would be better than this, he really had a chance here to do something and maybe get a shot someplace else. Looks like he is to content to being a back-up. So content that he may lose that Job, or should lose that job in my eyes. Teams offense is playing like it's Preseason not week 7!

Hope the Defense continues to play like this the rest of the way, that was a performance to be proud of in a win, but alas it wasn't a win so knocks every bit of glimmer off of it.

Honestly.........

Baller suggested this and I put him off.

But WhY NOT CAM? He could have won us that game

Shoot Straight, because I believe in that way. with you Pick.

It's a culmination of things coming to a head......

Our defense just found their legs against Pittsburgh (I could say STL but Pittsburgh was way better played game) so their has been alot of infighting here about that. Most pointed at Norton and the 2 1st round man.

Are we missing our Star. Fuck ya
Would this have been different if Russ was in their? Hells ya

But it's alot of things coming to a head and Geno is the fall guy

Seems like russ has been the bandage that has kept all the bs that your organization has been pulling. But you have to understand that when you invest that much into one player, if that one player is missing, you have little chance.

For about the Past 1 or 2 season. Russ and that passing attack has bailed us out.

Now.......

Not showing up at all

They were 2-2 with him and not looking great in the game he got injured in.

The team has worse issues than when his play was able to mask problems in recent years.

They have a shitty run game with no real chance to fix it this year. They have barely any pass rush and at times are league worst at stopping the run. Miss way too many tackles at the second level and have well below average corners.

Even with russ all season they had no chance to compete for the division and little hope for a wild-card slot. Zona and the rams are just way too far ahead of them.

Most of the logical fans here kept hope with Wilson, but when the Seattle FO said, "We only need 3 draft picks" with holes ALL over the roster with exception of QB/WR and TE (which position the staff doesn't know how to use) I think we all kind of checked out lol.

I'll still always watch and support the Hawks... we've been through darker times than this and I still watched em'.

But this team could be 5-2 right now and I honestly blame a lot of this squarely on Pete Carroll.

The Titans game was the perfect example of PC's stubborn unwillingness to accept what this team is. This is not a team that can grind out the run and count on the defense. It hasn't been that in a few years. So when PC tries to just pound the ball and wear the other team out it just puts the team in a hole.

The run game be effective if done the right way. But running on run situations and passing on passing situations requires that your players always outexecute the other players. Which is fine if you have tons more talent.

Last night, Riddick kept on saying that the Seahawks needed to do more crossing routes to exploit this defense. And then they do it. Roll out right and Smith misses Metcalf on a pretty easy crosser and then a few plays later the crosser to Swain for a big gain.

I get no sense that this coaching staff actually plans to attack the weaknesses of the other team. While I don't know if that is on Waldron or Carroll, given that this is the 3rd OC in the last 4 years and the same problems persist, I've got a pretty good idea.

I'm not usually the sort of fan that blames play calling but I have no other answer for it. The offense looks unstoppable in one half and then completely lost in the other.

They hung in there. The D played very well except for the screens, and a notable lack of pressure. The offense struggled but that was expected with Smith at the helm.
The kicking game lost this one for the Hawks. Several questionable calls on key 3rd downs led directly to points for the Saints but they should have overcome that.

I agree... He should definitely lose his job... A 10yr vet, 3 yr on the Hawks and he plays like that? There are so many backups, young guys i'd rather see play than Geno... He still can't read a defense... It's painfully obvious that Geno is holding this team back right now... He hands off well to our RB's, that's about it...

A. Brooks played a very good game last night imo... He definitely looks like he will be one of our few bright spots moving forward on defense in terms of young talent...

Realistically speaking, back up QBs are back ups for a reason. Every team that loses their No. 1 suffers, especially when their No. 1 is a really good QB.

I get that but I haven't seen many backups play as poorly has Geno has... For a seasoned vet, he should be much better than what he has shown...

I think it's safe to say he won't be the backup on this team next year...

On a sad note, it appears M. Blair is gone for the season...

Honestly, Smith looked like the fumble against Pittsburgh really affected his confidence. He refused to let go of the ball if there was even a slight chance it would be turned over. He held the ball for too long and if there wasn't an escape from pressure he kind've curled over the ball. He looked like a completely different QB this week as opposed to last - confidence wise.

Yeah, it looked bad the way it happened. Another promising Seahawk career derailed by injuries. He was a very promising young DB.

The conditions were pretty rough last night night. And the coaches did him no favors at all.

You Bring up a good point. Our Offense Stunk 2nd half because are plays were 80% run and 20% pass.

The booth was even saying that "They, Saints, have such a good Run Defense that THEY WANT YOU TO PASS."

Read above.

you mean J Brooks?

I agree. I see 3 bright spots, granted one with little PT, on Denfense.

Brooks, Taylor( I so hope comes back at 100% and comes back the same as he left) and Brown
