Guys, and ladies, I'm worried about this game. I'm truly worried but not for reasons that are readily apparent in terms of wins and losses. While I'm confident that the Commanders can win this game, I'm not sure they will be able to bring the necessary energy to make that happen. Why?? ... What happened?? The team is having its best season in years, it currently stands at 8-5 and is the 7th seed in the NFL playoffs if the season ends today. Well, for those of you who, like me, believers in momentum, I'm not sure that the early-season energy surrounding this team is still a thing. As you all know momentum shifts from team to team during games and I believe that in the league standing, especially during this part of every season, there are momentum shifts as well. Anyone who has been paying attention is well aware of the resurgence of the L.A. Rams who seem to have captured the playoff push momentum and are one game behind the Commanders for that final playoff berth. On Sunday, the Commanders play the Saints, with an opportunity to recapture the waning momentum and further solidify their chances to be post-season participants. As of now, they have an 83.3% chance to make the playoffs Their odds would drop to 60% with a loss and increase to 87% with a win. With a one-game margin over the Rams, this is a "must-win" game for Washington, in fact, all of the remaining games are, so, a loss would still keep them in the playoff hunt, but it would make things more challenging, especially with a tough game ahead against the Philadelphia Eagles and another likely against a desperate Atlanta Falcons team.

Here's what they're saying...
