If I was the Texans GM, I'd absolutely take him. First, you need a QB. Second, you need to sell-out all those boxes and seats, and he'd do it immediately, plus you'd make a killing on jerseys and shit. Third, it's not that big a gamble, because of the new CBI. Wont cost you that much, you'd make that up in sales anyway.

If I was Jax or the Browns or the Raiders, hell no.

If I was the Rams, yes.

Sure, he's a jerk and done some stupid immature shit. But the kid can play.

Except throwing your most valuable draft chip away with zero chance of any return.

Tough question, top 5? No.

But if he slips to the middle of the round, yes.

Hopefully before #17. I want all 4 QBs to go within the top 16 picks.

Anyone who is saying Manziel has even an average arm is retarded and knows absolutely nothing about football.

It is well below average by NFL standards.

yeah the best i have heard is, adequate arm strength or average. X-factor is bullshit. Usually just means someone doesnt fit the prototype. manziel could go anywhere but if qb wasnt such a need for some teams, he wouldnt go in the first. i wont say he has no chance of succeeding because that depends on him and his situation, but he will have a lot to overcome.

yeah, but if you need a quarterback...I said Houston, because he'd fill that place up. Houston is close to a&m and there are many fans there. And they need a QB more than a DL or LB.

I don't know if he'll make it, but you can say that about all the QBs in this draft. There isn't one who is near a cant miss. Might as well take the one who is exciting and will sell out the boxes and seats.

The thing about a rocket arm- Branden Weeden was the darling of experts, because he has a cannon. But he sucks as a quarterback. The big arm doesn't always mean a good QB.

Drew Brees does not have a strong arm. I watched him and Manziel play in High school, and watched them both in college. Physically, Manziel is a better athlete than Brees.

Brees is a great QB though, but it's not because of his size nor super athletic ability.

Personally, I don't care for Manziel. But I think he has as good a chance as Bortles or Bridgewater to hang in the NFL.

That being said, Houston wont take him. I just think they should, if they are going to go quarterback.

Let's just remember past history of "pro days" for QB's I believe a couple GM's said Jamarcus Russell had the best pro day they ever saw...

I don't know, even watching him on Gruden's camp show he was almost acting like he was "coached up" on some of his answers he gave Chuckie.....

I still think he's a huge gamble in the first...

He's by far the worst QB prospect projected to be drafted.

Arm does not just mean strength. Accuracy and ability to make a range of throws are both also included and Manziel is a joke at both. You can't be a successful NFL QB without a decent arm.

You cannot understand and watch Manziel play and think he has a decent arm any more than you could have with Tim Tebow a couple years back. It is very visibly very bad.

At this point, I would not use a first round pick. I think Manziel is two to three year project with lots of question marks. He has to develop as a pocket passer, learn to use his progressions, and avoid the crazy ass plays that might work in the NCAA but will get him killed in the NFL with speedy LBs and DEs.

Look, I could really care less if he succeeds or fails. He did have one receiver who I think will be fantastic in the NFL, that's Evans. He wont win in the approved NFL way. But he will have success.

Or, he could completely fall on his face. It's possible. But it's also possible (and I say more likely) for Bortles to fail. Bridgewater is no guarantee either.

But they aren't 100% guaranteed to have no shot at success. That gives them a massive edge over Manziel.

And you are not 100% guaranteed to be correct. You may end up being correct, but that is an unknown right now.

I cant stand the guy, an attitude I came to from his public persona. But I have seen him play, a lot. How much have you seen him play? Or are you just making your prediction from a few clips, etc.

Football is more than just physical talent. It's about getting a group to work and fight with you. I think he has that ability, and it will help him.

I'm not sure Tebow had that, at least on a level that tough SOBs of the likes of most NFL players would follow. Manziel has that, in spades. I think it gives him a chance to be successful.

When RGIII came into the league, he was asked if he would run like he did in college. "I ran in the Big12, and it has big fast guys. I will run in the NFL too." I shook my head, because I knew he would get killed. And he did.

Manziel is smarter than that. He'll be more like Wilson.

I guess we'll see what happens. If he falls flat, wont surprise me. But it also wont surprise me if he wildly succeeds either.

Dont bother wasting your breath. JDM just got out of his Time Machine and believe him when he says Johnny Manziel has already flopped miserably in the NFL.

It is not possible to succeed at QB in the NFL with an arm as bad as Manziel's. It never will be.

So yes, he is 100% guaranteed to be a joke.
