Johnny Manziel hires super-agent in attempt to save career

ohnny Manziel's former agent had enough with his client's off-field antics, so Erik Burkhardt dropped Manziel as a client in early February.

Manziel was released by the Browns earlier this month, but continues to be spotted painting various cities red. While Manziel hasn't changed his partying ways, he now has a new agent representing him.Manziel hired super-agent Drew Rosenhaus, who represents another frolicking NFL player in Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. Rosenhaus also famously,or infamously, represented another flamboyant NFL player in former receiver Terrell Owens.

With or without Rosenhaus, teams won't be interested in Manziel until he makes "some major life changes and makes real strides towards sobriety,"according to CBS Sports.

Manziel cleared waivers without any NFL teams showing interest, so it's doubtful even a powerful agent such as Rosenhaus will be able to do much. Manziel has been spotted drinking and partying in Mexico, Los Angeles and Miami over the past two months and has a domestic violence case pending with a Texas grand jury. But hours after the case was sent to a grand jury, Manziel was seen partying in Miami and was living it up in Los Angeles days after the Browns released him.

Manziel was a first-round pick of the Browns in the 2014 NFL Draft, but the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner has played in 14 NFL games with a 57 percent competion percentage with 1,675 passing yards, seven touchdowns, seven interceptions and seven fumbles.

People are developing theories around this train wreck? He's a drunk that isn't very good to begin with. If you're going to be as short as he is then you better be an athletic freak with a cannon. He isn't a freak and he doesn't have gun. This is just the TMZ side of the media wanting him to stick around because it's good press.
