Depth is only important when the starter is injured. In that case at the moment depth is very important in Dallas. As for the Rams all they have is depth.

Remains to be seen what they have in Mannion, but he's a tough read. The team held back from throwing him into the fire late last season.

I actually think Foles could be a decent option to back up Romo in Dallas. He would be much better behind that line.

Robert Kraft would love to reward him with a $40,000,000 deal.

Wait, he's killed people right?

I like Files as the back up. Is Mannion the favorite to win the job this season?

I don't believe for a second that he did this to get out of Cleveland. Sucky QBs don't last but a couple of years anyway in Cleveland, all he had to do was wait. He did this because he couldn't help it.

Agree.. You want out you ask for a trade, you don't ruin your value and possibly your career. It's like saying Ray Rice beat his fiance because he wanted out of Baltimore...

My counter argument to Cowherd's theory is....

wasn't Johnny Football sending texts to the Browns owner begging him to draft him?

The theory behind that was so that he was taken in the first round to get first round money. If he didnt get drafted in the first round his paycheck would have dropped quite a bit more than it had already

But how does ruining your chances to make a lot of money on your 2nd contract work here? Sure, he'd make about 3 mil more than a 2nd round deal over the life of his rookie contract. But even with question marks on the field, if off of it he was keeping his nose clean he'd still be looking at a multi-year deal worth at least 5 mil a season after that. Now he's looking at what?

To me, literally going out and saying "F*CK Cleveland and F*ck the Browns" would get him out of there and give him a LOT better chance of finding a new team and making a LOT more money.

OK, how about you make Neil play drums for my next birthday.
That poor bugger is in some serious pain. He's out for awhile. I don't expect him to be banging the pots for at least a year. He may be hanging up the stix permanently. Hope not.

Damn, I haven't heard. He's by far my favorite drummer.

Even if he's as bat shit crazy as Ryan Leaf was, he's still got to be better than Charlie Whitehurst so he's going to be at least a backup if he can stay out of trouble long enough to cash a paycheck. Just not buying that all of that trouble was on purpose.

That's an awful thing to say about Neil Peart!
