Nah, but you post in that real sly voice, like you know everybody and have been here before!
You must see things I don’t. I post opinions and agree and disagree with those that reply. How is that “knowing everyone” lol

I see people putting Isaiah Thomas. He was pretty good for an undersized PG with the Celtics a couple of years but he was no Isiah Thomas.

Yeah.

Wrong Isiah on my list

I’d put Stockton firmly at 2. Here are two intersecting facts that cemented my decision:

1. A career 51.5% FG. This is higher than Jordan, Duncan, Olajuwon, and many other great contemporaries. Doing that as a PG in the 80’s and 90’s is almost unheard of. The Mailman had a 51.6% FG ironically enough.

2. According to my research, Stockton played 8 games without Malone:

11-2-1985: 12 points, 7 Assists (27 min)
4-21-1989: 19 points, 20 Assists (42 min)
4-22-1989: 10 points, 10 assists (24 min)
12-17-1991: 13 points, 13 assists (35 min)
4-12-1999: 12 points, 11 assists (23 min)
3-15-2002: 14 points, 10 assists (34 min)
4-5-2002: 20 points, 10 assists (35min)
11-6-2002: 10 points, 6 assists (28 min)

10.8 career assists per game without Malone. 10.5 career assists per game overall.

I think it’s obvious no one would have the Celtics PG on an all time list

That’s wild how healthy they both were for all those years

Maurice “Mo” Cheeks

Career: 11.1 pts / 6.7 ast

Maybe not the resume being looked for in this thread but I’m sticking with him

Him galloping down the court for the dunk (maybe only dunk in his career?) - arguably traveling all the way down that court - at the end of game 4 (championship clinching game) in 1983 NBA finals vs the Lakers was a sight to behold and I remember that to this day

So yeah he is on my list

I throw Mark Price’s name. Probably not Top 10 all time but had a really fantastic stretch for about half a decade. Perhaps he was ahead of his time.

That's usually the giveaway.. posting with a familiarity of the others here. It's hard to describe, but I know it when I read it.

Here is my top 10:

Magic
Curry
Oscar Robertson
Chris Paul
John Stockton
Steve Nash
Isaiah Thomas
Jason Kidd
Gary Payton
Allen Iverson

Top 3 are a cut above everyone else by a good bit IMO.

Not much separating 4-10. All great players with a flaw of some sort in their overall resumes holding them back from the upper tiers.
Pretty close to what I have but once you get at the bottom of this list I think it could go many different ways

Top 3 (Tier One)
Magic
Steph
Big O

4-10 (Tier Two)
Stockton
CP3
Isaiah
Kidd
Nash
Payton
Frazier

The last spot is tough. I think you could label AI as a PG or SG, I go SG but he is really a combo guard. You could put Walt, Parker, Cousy or even Kyrie in this slot. I want to put Kyrie in this slot badly but I don't think he belongs...going Walt.

And what I like is unlike some longtime regs your comments all are based on the post to which you reply........not the poster.

Another guy that is outside the top 10 but was fun as hell to watch and a great point guard is Kevin Johnson.
