Manziel Says If Texans Don't Draft Him, Worst Decision Ever; Talks Fritos, Doritos

In an interview with the Houston Chronicle, Johnny Manziel says that if the Houston Texans (who have the #1 pick) don't draft him and let him fall to the Jacksonville Jaguars (#3 pick, behind the St. Louis Rams, who already have Sam Bradford as their QB)...:

Johnny Manziel said:
It would be the worst decision they've ever made. I'd be in the same division playing against them twice a year. Sorry, but you just turned that chip on my shoulder from a Frito into a Dorito.

(Inb4 he insulted Fritos! OMG, how dare he!?!?!)

As a Titans fans, I hope like hell the Texans mortgage the next 3-5 years of their franchise on this cancer. Then it'll just be down to us and the Colts. :hope:

Any team that drafts him is retarded.

He just doesn't want to go to the Browns, Jags or Raiders, and I dont blame him. Houston would give him the best opportunity to be successful with a strong supporting cast that was just 2 years ago thought to be a SB contender.

As long as he's gone before the Vikings pick I don't care where he goes...

I'm surprised he's even considered a first round pick. He just looks like the typical great college quarterback who won't make the transition to the pros.

As a Cowboys fan, I'm begging and praying the shitty Texans draft Johnny Douchebag #1 overall for 2 reasons:

1. I have a feeling Jerry will do everything in his power to try and draft this future 1st round bust just so he can sell tickets. If the Texans draft him, then us Cowboys fans can sleep better at night.

2. Anytime a sports team from Houston sucks, it's a great time. The Texans will continue to suck for years if they draft JF. The Astros are the worst team in MLB and might be the worst team in Class 5A in the state of Texas. Texans could join the Astros in extreme suckage for years to come.

Which ever team is smart enough to draft him, will appreciate it when he proves all his doubters wrong!

He's not worth a seventh round pick. Not only does he not have the physical skills, but he's a head case.

I think his statement proves he's not ready.

He has the athletic skills, that's clear.

One of the knocks on him is his lack of maturity. Coming out and saying this...it just makes me balk if I'm with an organization that's looking at drafting him.

Is he ready maturity wise? Will he be a press whore and a distraction to the team?

Is there more downside than upside here?

I will freely admit that I pay very little attention to players in college because I consider the NCAA a farce and most players, especially QB's are hard to figure out going to the next level. It really doesn't matter how good you are in college or how bad for that matter. Look at how many teams pick up a franchise QB in later rounds. Before some asshat says it, I'm not talking about Russell Wilson here. I'm speaking more about a guy like Tom Brady who everybody passed on or even Aaron Rodgers who went late and proved everybody wrong. Hell, Joe Montana wasn't considered very highly coming out of Notre Dame even with a national championship on his resume. He didn't go until the 3rd round and look at how that turned out.

As for Manziel, he really needs to shut his trap before a foot gets firmly lodged in it. Confidence is okay, cocky is not and statements like this will only drop his stock more by GM's and coaches. He may very well be successful in the NFL but it all depends on where he goes to more than just his talent. He is like most of the fans who buy into the hype that QB's are all that matters in the modern NFL. He better grow the hell up quick and stfu or some D-lineman or linebacker will take his arrogant head off. Honestly, what hi-lites I've seen, he is like a lot of college QB's who are athletic enough to make great plays but has nothing on the discipline part of it. Bad recipe for the NFL where everybody is just as athletic and the defenses are far superior.
