Q: What do you do with Phillip Rivers?

A: Keep him as the starter. Let Manziel groom under him for a year or two. I don't consider Rivers a trustworthy start. But anyone smart wouldn't consider Manziel a starting candidate from day 1, so why not give him a few seasons to mature? IMO that would give him the best shot to succeed. Starting him from day 1 would set him up for failure… Lookin at you Cleveland or Oakland!

Yeah, I'd roll the dice on him. I think at worst he'll pull a Tebow, meaning he'll put together a string of games before ultimately the lack of pro skills does him in. And I think he's much more polished than Tebow. If I'm a team that sucks, I can live with that. I'd sell a shit ton of jerseys and worst case scenario is I still suck 2 years later and can draft another QB. Which isn't that big of a deal nowadays due to the rookie pay scale.

No. There are 6 QB(s) I would take over Manziel if the Cardinals were to draft a QB.

My personal QB rankings for an Arians' QB:

Bortles>Carr>Mettenberger>Bridgewater>Garoppolo>McCarron>Manziel

No. I'd draft Watkins or OT if I was in the Top10 this draft. If the Seahawks could land Watkins, I would jizz in my pants for weeks.

I might take Johnny football if he's available in the 6th or 7th.

Well after the Bortles Pro Day and throwing at the combine we can rule out Manziel being taken as the #1 overall.

It's absurd to think he will not get drafted at all but if you need a franchise QB you sure don't take him early.

I didn't say he won't get drafted. I said he shouldn't.

The kid has no talent. None whatsoever.

Lol, what? He has talent and can play in today's NFL. I'm not saying he will but I can see him being successful in the right system.

I agree he has talent I just think he still has a lot to learn he looked decent in college because Evans and Amaro were there to save his arse on multiple occasions, those two were able to consistently dominate lesser talent which in turn allowed Manziel to just heave it up to them. Not sure that is a viable option at the next level.

Agreed. I think he will be a project but there is certainly talent. His arm isn't the strongest but better than a lot of people want to admit. He's obviously a gifted runner and throws well on the run. He's worlds better than Tebow ever imagined being.

Zero shot. He doesn't resemble an NFL talent in any way.

There is talk of the Browns or Vikings taking him, but that's the last thing those franchises need. Another massive reach bust of a QB.

It isn't possible, though. Running around with below NFL average athleticism as a bad passer won't cut it for any real length of time.

I'm not understanding where you see him with below average athleticism.

By NFL standards? He is well below average. He's OK for a QB but not for an NFL athlete...

Lmao. Keep doing what you do, JDM. It's actually funny to me now. You've got a good little thing going. Keep it up.
