I would take Bridgewater before him. If the Browns take him it wouldn't be ideal but they do have Hoyer still, so if it didn't pan out it it wouldn't be awful.

With respect I disagree since coming back into the league anything the Browns have done is awful

Tebow also had one of the worst throwing motions ever. Manziel is accurate and a quick release guy.

The point was pretty clear. College stats mean nothing. If Tebow can complete 66% of his passes, you could grab someone off the street who can complete 70.

Manziel can't throw. Not at anything resembling NFL level.

You could say that about any QB. :laugh3:

It is about work ethic and football IQ that is the determining factor. The guy has intangibles, so that isn't the question.

No, some people have tools, some have none. Mental attributes matter, which manziel also severely lacks, but he could be a brilliant decision maker and would still suck in the NFL because he has no physical skills.

He won't go top 5 but I think he will go somewhere between 6 - 10 I just pray it's not to the Vikings...

He has upside, though, and things you can't teach. But he has to show that he has the arm strength to throw a deep ball outdoors. Thats what I want to see.

Take the Rams picking at 13, for example. They need a guy who can pass to Givens, Cook and Austin...all 4.3-4.5 type of guys on turf. Any QB that doesn't have at least Bradford's arm strength is just not going to fit the offense. (Clemens came in last year and Givens vanished)

Manziel needs to prove he has arm strength or everything else just kinda washes away like it did with Clausen who was quickly replaced by Carolina. His best fit is Arizona. Palmer is a tad bit overrated and on the tail end of his career and their receivers are really good without being burners

There is no upside without physical tools. You simply can't make up for that no matter what you do. You won't magically turn into capable of throwing an NFL caliber pass. You can improve some, but not the amount manziel would need to to become even an average starter for any length of time.

He has tools. He has agility, large hands and he has short range accuracy.

I think the thing that hurts Manziel is that this is a really strong class and more importantly everyone thinks that this is a really strong class. No GM wants to walk away spending a high pick on an ok QB prospect like a Jake Locker and leaving a HOF type player like a JJ Watt on the table.

His agility is OK for a QB, but far from special. His accuracy at every range is mediocre to bad at the NFL level. He is not a good passer and that doesn't magically get fixed. With a shit ton of practice and spectacular coaching he could becomes a mediocre passer, but with the amount of time and commitment that would take, he would be forced to stay below average with his reads. There just isn't anything near close enough to be worth the investment of a roster spot, let alone a high draft pick.

Manziel is much closer to a Tim Tebow than a jake locker. Locker has the physical tools and has done decent at developing the mental ones. His main issue is durability. He has the rest to be borderline too 10.

There hasn't been any solid or franchise Qb's drafted since Tebow came out.

For a QB it's above average. By NFL standards as a whole it's far from special. His agility is nowhere near good enough to consistently make anyone but maybe a DT miss in the open field. A DE will eat him up.

His agility is at least as good as Wilson's agility. Wilson does get sacked a lot but his agility is what makes him special

Actually I agree with JDM here he is average at best. I do not think he is as agile as Vick or Griffin and at times they cannon escape a DT or DE. It's not to say it's not a good quality but if that is what he is gonna hang his NFL Hat on, Good Luck,
