Once again, reference my previous post. Apparently his eyes were also closed. My guess is he had some neck pain associated with disorientation, which equals automatic spineboard which equals automatic hospital visit. Fracture isn't out of the question though...

TSN also said that they had shuffled all of the reporters away before they put Hossa into the ambulance.
and that he got a police escort to the hospital.

Serious (potentially) injury plus bigtime prior history likely equals bigtime suspension.
