Florida just put two goals in over an 11 second span with about 3 minutes left. Down 2-1, score two goals to take 3-2 lead and hold one. Up 3-1 in series. Basically what LA let Edmonton do.

Some great hockey overall. Freddy Andersen hurt so Carolina back to Kochetkov, who Devils lit up to 3-0 in 1st period. Carolina scores 3 goals in 5 minutes to start the 2nd and place going nuts. Currently tied at 4-4.

Leafs lost to Ottawa at home, and are now 1-13 in close-out games in the Mathews/Marner era, which is an insane number. Still up 3-2, but gotta head back to Ottawa now.

For fun, every Western series is 2-2, and every Eastern one was 3-1.

Caps eliminate Habs 4-1, 4-1 sore in G4. Watched a lot of that game, wow what a difference. Up 3-1 and they sent two guys into the Habs zone, did not lay off the throttle at all. They went for the kill, vast difference than what we have seen in this series when LA has had the lead in the third.

Granted the Caps aren't built to be a defensive team and not their identity (they did finish 9th in GA though which to me is solid) but they did not sit back and allow Montreal to come at them, pin them in, wear out the 5 guys on the ice and then have no gas to attack and hit the red or blue line, chip it in and go for a change with no OZ opportunity. Carbery is only in his sexond year as a HC in the POs too just like Hiller.

Really happy for Matt Roy, he finally gets to feel what winning a PO round is like. And add in another asset mismanagement by Bowlby.

Perron with the crafty goal on Stolarz with like 7 minutes left tied the game 2-2, but they leave Pacioretty in the middle by himself and he puts Leafs back up. Sorta flattened the whole building and Leafs move on.

Lot of recent history in that Panthers/Leafs one. When Panthers upset Bruins, the Leafs were chanting "We want Florida", and Panthers proceeded to beat them in 5 (I think). Panthers on a tear the last few years, with back to back finals appearances, and obviously winning it last year.

Watched this game, night and day difference between LA and the Blues. No doubt in my mind LA would have been absolutely shelled by them.

They are fighting, clawing, backing each other up, they look like a second place division winner and playing like one.

My money is on them taking out the Jets in G7. Which is even more embarrassing being a Kings fan. This team just rolled over.

Hellebuyck giving very Jim Hiller interviews too. Asked him if it was his fault Jets are losing, and he said no after Game 4 I think.

They said 29 goalies played at least 40 games this year, and all but one were pulled in a game. Hellebuyck was only one not pulled. He's been pulled 3 times in this series.

About to watch Stars/Avs Game 7, and they said it's the 199th Game 7 in league history. So that would've meant LA/EDM would've been the 200th, so that's also nice. Just for fun. haha

Man. Avs up 2-0, puke a full LA Kings and Mikko Rantanen goes nuclear on his old team. 4 point 3rd period, and hat trick as Dallas comes back and takes Game 7. DeBoer still undefeated in Game 7's at 9-0 is also insane.

Ferraro said Rantanen skated by Avs bench and he can't repeat what he said, but essentially he let Avs know they provide should've paid kept him.

Exactly. Avs were loaded up to make a run. Such a big win for Stars. If they get healthy on top of this win, def could win it all.

Who you guys still pulling for in the playoffs?

I wouldn't mind Dallas. I think Blues beat Winnipeg tomorrow. I'd think Dallas over winner of that series though. And then obviously I hope Vegas and Edmonton both lose. East, I'd be shocked if Florida didn't wax Toronto in 5 Games. Cool with Carolina or Washington. Hurricanes always coming up short, so be nice for their group and fans to see a finals if possible.
