Yes i agree with that but it wasn't a good look. Plus he had the whole rest of the game to go again with Foligno if he thought he was robbed of his pride.
Idk? I'll give him a pass this time around. I've never seen him back down from anybody so. Didn't look like either one was to interested in picking it back up. Didn't matter though, we played a pretty horrific game.

Really i thought we played pretty good against one of the top teams in the league. If Fluery doesn't make some crazy saves and TKs shot goes in instead of tipping off Michkov's stick we may have had a good shot to win.

We didn't play overly great offensively but some puck luck and i thought that would've been a close game.

To me it was just pretty boring and that was probably due to the lack of offense or chances, I've gotten spoiled watching the Avs.

Captain anchor has zero offensive game and now a story on his well overrated defensive game. :L 5 more years after this one awesome:doh:
Yep, dude has definitely lost a step, and Farabee seems like he doesn't want to battle defensively, games we have dominated we've played hard at both ends. We suck when our forwards stand at the half wall and hope to just chip.it out. Gotta have some forwards with physicality.

Washington has rebuilt their system faster than ever imagined. They have a legit shot to make it to a cup.

Not a lot of high draft picks yet somehow lead the conference in points

I dont believe any top 5 draft picks besides a 39 year old Ovi and 37 year old Backstrom.

They have also won back to back Calder cups and lead the AHL in points this year.

Calm down, folks. Minnesota is one of the best teams in the Nhl and they had just been smoked by Edmonton in what was their worst loss of the season.

We can beat upcoming teams like Detroit, Columbus and Shitsburgh, which would really start to distance us from them in the standings.

The Jackets, Isles, Rags and Caps all went down in regulation last night. It should've been the Pens too, but they somehow managed to steal one from LA. Otherwise, every other team near us in the Metro took the L and got no points. Big opportunity for us at Detroit tonight. Both teams will be rested and they will probably be pissed off from their loss in Philly, so let's see how this goes.

From an story in the Athletic today suggesting we will not be trading Laughton:

Unless Laughton is part of a deal that would land the Flyers the true top-line center they’re looking for, it’s obvious he’s much more valuable to a still-building Flyers club than he would be anywhere else. That was conspicuously reconfirmed on Thursday with how Laughton’s teammates reacted to his four-goal night.

Removing him from the group would be too big of a risk to what is still the fourth-youngest dressing room in the league.

“As a leader, he really knows when to be light, when to be funny, and when to say, ‘Hey, we’ve got to be ready for this,’” Hathaway said. “He can flip a switch, and it’s really impressive. I think it’s great for the younger guys. We go into games, either nervous, or we’re down a little bit, and we’re in those highs and lows of the season — he keeps everyone around him pretty even-keeled.”

AWAZ this is from another story in the voice. This is the point you have been making :

Stuck in a loop

The Flyers are rebuilding. They've stated this repeatedly, but also maintained that their path to doing so wasn't in stripping the whole operation down and starting from scratch – in other words: tanking.

With Tortorella, and then Brière and Keith Jones at the top, they were going to re-establish their culture as a good place to play, steadily get younger with a priority on development while keeping good veterans in the mix, and compete as much as they could while accumulating as much as they could.

They're not a Stanley Cup contender, not yet, but they're not woefully bad either, yet still have Michkov to watch right now and other promising prospects in the pipeline, along with as many as 12 selections in what is projected to be a strong draft coming up this summer.

The Flyers are moving along, slowly but surely, but every step of the way, there's been criticism from certain parts of the fan base that what they're doing isn't going to work, that they need to completely bottom out for a couple of years to go for a chance – keyword: chance – at a top pick.

We have all discussed this and stated similar ideas that matches this article's suggestions. We know what needs to be done and presently the state of the team.

This is it in a nutshell article. Biggest criticism I see in fans is not being able to come to grips with the fact that some of these guys will be gone soon and replaced by up and coming younger talent.

Yep. Just concerned about where they find answers to some pretty major roster holes. 1C, 1D in particular. People don't trade those guys. They don't trade out of positions to draft those guys. Either have to find a project that someone else gave up on and hope they pan out (ie Cozens) or get a steal in the draft.

They certainly have the ammo to take a few swings at stuff like that. It's just a tight needle to thread. So i'm concerned about it.

But IMO, they have the rest of it. Good forward depth, particularly on the wing. Can build a real good 2nd a 3rd pair. Have enough goalies that can at least get it done. Begrudgingly, I'll say Torts has them playing a good style and seemingly they've all bought in. It's just 1C and 1D are the two hardest to get and most critical parts to being a contender.

More players than we have had in the WJC in a long time.

Pumped that Luchanko made the roster. I was pretty lukewarm on him as a pick. Would've preferred Buium. But if they didn't want to go small dman, I was fine with Luchanko in that spot. Just was disappointed how the picks before them went I guess.

Cool that he was picked for the WJC though. That's a promising sign that maybe he could be more than I thought.
