I don't know which I despise more: The fact that our offense still sucks or the fact that we are tied with Shitsburgh for fourth place in the Metro Division!!

Hopefully we get on winning streak starting tonight and they will be in our rear view 2 weeks from now.

Im not so sure its our offense so much as too many momentary lapses of reasons in one game leading to utter chaos. :2cents:

This was like watching the last game on repeat, except the Kings are better than the Wings.

Fiala scores on a breakaway.

Jeannot, unmarked in front, taps home a loose puck.

Kopitar gets a bit lucky as the puck deflects to him at the side of the net, but again, he's alone to just barely tip it in.

Foegele scores on a deflection in front. Not much you can do there, but he's not truly checked on the play.

Kopitar again left wide open (this time right in front) for his 2nd goal. Andrae and Frost victimized, which created essentially a mini 2 on 1.

Fiala started it and finished it. Again, he's left wide open at the side of the net for the final goal of the game.

The defense is atrocious right now and none of our goalies have a chance. Torts is probably absolutely fuming. You can't leave the top players on the other team wide open in prime scoring areas so often and expect to still get points, let alone a win. Every damn team in the Nhl has players who will score on us if we continue to turn the puck over and break down defensively.

Looks like Michkov has been benched a bit. He only played 12 minutes in this game and he's -8 with zero points in his last 4 games. I would expect guys to keep getting sat if this shit continues. Perhaps Drysdale takes a seat in the next game and York comes back. Maybe Michkov or Frost continue to see reduced ice time.

We're gonna get steamrolled by our division rivals if this play doesn't improve soon. The resiliency is still there, but we can't score 5-7 goals per game to make up for these mistakes. Our goalies can't continue to be hung out to dry either. None of them will get comfortable.

Columbus up next on Saturday night. It's actually a big game for us. They have lost 8 of their last 10 games, but the two teams that they beat (Jets and Devils) are a couple of the best in the league. Very strange, but I guess you can't take them lightly.

A few of them were definitely empty-netters, but we're giving up 4.5 goals per game in the month of December. That's absolutely horrific. Hopefully this upcoming road trip brings the squad together more out on the ice, because we seem to be often out of position while trying to cover for other's mistakes. The turnovers are bad and in the wrong areas too. Opposing top players are occasionally being left to roam the front of our net without fear.
