The former Flyers goaltender will learn his fate on July 24 alongside the other four players charged in the Hockey Canada sexual assault case.

I cant believe it took this long but hopefully it puts an end to all doubts about Hart.![]()

They are so dumb taking on all those contracts in full and giving the Rangers back some picks and prospects .On top of taking Trouba's full hit a few months ago. Anaheim single-handedly bailing them out of cap hell. And they have Gauthier.
Ducks might need to be your #1 most hated team soon.
Edit: Shit, they have Vatrano and Strome from the Rangers too.
Year after next 2026 Connor McDavid will be 31 and will be a free agent.Yea, I agree on passing on Marchment. Don't need to bring older players.
Some tid bits from the Athletic:
Some other odds and ends:
• A team source rejected any suggestion that the Flyers might be interested in a trade for Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Nicolas Hague, who, like York, is left-handed but has much greater size (6-foot-6, 245 pounds). Don’t expect the Flyers to be involved in discussions about Hague moving forward.
• Multiple team sources said they had no knowledge of any deal with 24-year-old forward prospect Maxim Shabanov. A report out of Russia last week indicated the Flyers had signed Shabanov out of the KHL. One of the sources, though, indicated that the club remains very interested in adding him and is hopeful it will happen.
So, who is Shabanov? Here’s Corey Pronman’s assessment of him from February:
“Shabanov has been one of the top scorers in the KHL this season as a 24-year-old. He’s an excellent skater with the speed and edge work of an NHL player. He has good puck skills and offensive sense, and makes a lot of plays at full speed. Shabanov is also a midrange shooting threat who can score goals versus good goaltenders. The issue with him will come down to size. He’s about 5-foot-8 and, while talented, it’s debatable whether it’s the special variety of talent you need at his size to make it to the top league.”
• A team source reiterated that the club is not going to be in the market for any big-money free agents this summer. So, no, the Flyers will not be pursuing Mitch Marner.
As for Sam Bennett, I do believe the Flyers would have been interested had Bennett not gone on another remarkable playoff run. As it stands now, they figure he’ll probably be out of their price range.
• The Flyers will be adding another assistant coach to Tocchet’s staff, which now includes Jaroslav Svejkovsky and Jay Varady, but they’re in no rush to do so. Don’t expect that to happen until July.
Pretty stupid for the Flyers to whiff on Marner. Typical WTFC type of off season. Just kind lolligaggon along not doing a whole lot except going on vacation. This is one of the many reasons why we suck every year.
I agree i dont think Bennet will have an impact on our team as compared to the contract we will have to give him.Really hope they do pass on Bennett. Someone is going to give him a STUPID contract after this playoff run and I don't want it to be the Flyers.
