Yep, I agree Crispy.
Just have to hope one of the three becomes reliable.Okay now on to a more important topic. Where does everyone stand on our current goalie situation?
For me its another one of those to early to tell scenarios. Both Russians have improved tremendously since game 1, more so Kolosov than Fedotov, not by leaps and bounds but just overall.
Errsson still remains to be seen as he has had limited playing time around him. I would assume we are going to get a trio of net minders this season to see if there's a true and solid number 1. This is going to be a huge key to our future because if none of these guys pan out were going to have to wheel and deal for good goalie to become our foundation. Still missing at least 4 solid pieces IMO, A number 1 goalie, A true Center, another puck mover/ sniper and another solid Dman.
I think Errson is the starter and Kolosov is just a better goalie than Fedotov. Kolosov maybe the starter of the future.Okay now on to a more important topic. Where does everyone stand on our current goalie situation?

You have excellent eye sight!!I now have espn+ (mainly due to wanting Hulu and “only murders”), but watched the most of a Flyers game than all year last night.
Coots has definitely slowed down a few steps. That’s just my eye test. I see what you all are seeing with the youngsters.
Just want to point out that the great and powerful “Yz”erman is going into his 5th year at Detroit and it appears the Flyers are more in the “ascent” stage than is Detroit.
Just have to hope one of the three becomes reliable.
Regardless, we still have Zegravin waiting, so I think when our window opens in two years, we'll be in good shape at goalie.
I keep forgetting about this kid, he's been thriving from all the articles I've read on him. Can't wait to see him here.Just have to hope one of the three becomes reliable.

The Cowboys have been 1st or 2nd in the NFC East for 9 of the last 11 seasons. They are the most valuable and the most talked about team in all of professional sports over the same stretch, yet have only 3 total playoff wins throughout those 11 seasons to show for it. They've been plenty good with Dak Prescott, they just can't win in the postseason. I think the comparison is fair, although the Oilers nearly broke through last season. Unfortunately, and we have painfully learned this, you don't get shit for almost winning a Stanley Cup.To be fair to the Cowboys, when was the last time people thought they were actually a contender? Had to be in the Tony Romo years right? His last real season was 10 years ago. Jerry will hold them back until he's gone and people seem to have caught on to that.
And I ignore Vegas because if the Flyers can't build that way then they're irrelevant to the topic of "ways the Flyers can build a cup contender".
And I never said it was the only way. Just that the majority of cup winners in the last 20 years have been built that way. In fact, 13 of the last 16 cup winners had at least one guy drafted in the top 2 by that organization. The Blues caught lightning in a bottle. Boston has sustained a contender for 20+ years by drafting well and signing the right free agents (assholes, but they give me something to hope for with the Flyers plan). And the aforementioned expansion draft Vegas. Lots of teams have blown it with top 2 picks. Sure. But not very many without top 2 picks have won the cup.
Exactly. The best way to handle Laughton is to let him teach these youngsters the Flyer way until we get either an offer we can't refuse or we reach the trade deadline next season when you essentially have to deal him to a contender and finally wave goodbye. Otherwise, he could walk after next season for nothing.I get the Flyers stance on Laughton. If they get a crazy overpay, deal him. But I can definitely see why they're so hesitant to move him. It's clear the team LOVES him. You could almost hear Hathaway say "oh hell no, this is yours" in how quickly he passed it back to Laughton for his 4th.
I'm honestly shocked they didn't name him the captain. Maybe it's because they expect to eventually get that crazy overpay, but he seems to be the heartbeat of the team and is exactly the attitude the Flyers brass want to cultivate. I get keeping him through a rebuild.
Seravalli is usually pretty good. Well just have to wait and see.Sounds made up
Looked like he tried to stop and his skates went out from under him?I love Hathaway and his style of game. He is really good at what he does but getting one punch knocked out at center ice by Foligno was pretty embarrassing.
Yes i agree with that but it wasn't a good look. Plus he had the whole rest of the game to go again with Foligno if he thought he was robbed of his pride.Looked like he tried to stop and his skates went out from under him?
