It happened out of stupidity and incompetence. Another shitty decision by the manager, and another situation that turns to shit when Murphy touches it.

I'm not defending Murphy being in the game. I'm simply saying that play was just unfortunate and it happened.

I missed the whole game and glad I did. To Wash, the pecking order in the bullpen is Nathan closer of course then it is Cotts, Soria/Frasor then Schepper/Ross. Scheppers should not be the guy at the end of the game trying to take care of us in a close or tied game. Not until he gets it together.

Yes it is, and it will be more unfortunate if Martin misses any extended time. Hoping he just got spiked. Either way Murphy's retarded ass caused it by being incompetent. Martin was calling for that all the way.

And if so, come on, the righty vs righty matchup is not that big of a deal to most hitters and you are taking out speed for the rest of a tied game.
