I'm a Heat fan dude. Never rooted for the Cavs in my life
You and @tlance couldn't honestly say with a straight face that my posts wouldn't be looked upon differently if I had a Golden State logo under my SN.
Thanks? well, at least to the "most".For the 900th time, nobody cares who your favorite teams are.
Nobody gives @Bolts a hard time and he is a kings fan for Christ sakes.
And it isn't Cavs fans that the board doesn't like. It is a couples specific, very annoying posters.
Everybody is good with @Shanemansj13 and most are good with @dtgold88.
I'd say in my life I'd give them the nod, sure. The last decade or now? Only Boston still in discussion.
Not even sure Boston should be so far up this decade (in their history, no doubt they should). At least not ahead of the Cavs with 4 Finals trips and a title (and dominance over the Cs in the playoffs).Every franchise has it's down periods. This has been the longest down period for the Lakers, which is comparatively short for most other franchises. The emphasis on bottoming out to rebuild has changed the process in the NBA, and two trades that flopped terribly (Howard, Nash) really accelerated the need to rebuild, but was postponed by the end of Kobe's career.
Celtics? One championship in 2008, before that the 1980s. So it's BEEN a long time for them
Thanks? well, at least to the "most".
It's not for everyone. I wouldn't go back unless I had to for something. The ocean/beach does nothing for me and not much I'd want to do there I couldn't do here, and do it with far less traffic.
Cannot say I know the guy and have not followed his conversations, but I do get where he's coming from. There are some posters who will base their replies on the poster and not the post.I mean, you have had your share of scraps. Some with me.
But I don't think anybody here dislikes you. While we may disagree on a lot I can respect your opionion. And certainly nobody here dislikes any posters based only off their team preference. That sounds like a form of bigotry to me.
@HurricaneDij39 wants to make the assumption that people don't like him because of his favorite teams. I guess that is easier for him to believe than the alternative. But it isn't close to the truth.
The posters with bad reps around here have earned them over time based on how they act.
You and @tlance couldn't honestly say with a straight face that my posts wouldn't be looked upon differently if I had a Golden State logo under my SN.
People generally don't like that the most intelligent and accomplished poster on this board (you know who I'm talking about) could actually be a Cavs fan. It's all it comes down to and all it ever has.
San Diego another story for sure.I wouldn't live in LA. I prefer San Diego, can always take the train up for games when I feel the need. Much more relaxed atmosphere, and near perfect weather as long as you stay on the coastal side of the mountains.
I think he realizes that no one in here really likes him much, so he likes to stir up shit just to see everyone get worked up. He tried that shit on Real GM and got banned in less then a week.
Not necessarily. It's just that the Pacers and Nuggets are right up there with the Cavs in the list of teams this board generally does not like.
And yes, as @True Lakers Fan pointed out, I was booted from RealGm back in 2017 for posting an article some mod didn't believe I actually wrote myself.
This place wouldn't be the same w/o hurricane's kooky antics.
Cannot say I know the guy and have not followed his conversations, but I do get where he's coming from. There are some posters who will base their replies on the poster and not the post.
You are defintely right about people responding to the poster instead of the post.
But it isn't because of their favorite team. That assertion is laughable and also what this dude believes.
I am a Wizards fan. They suck and have been horribly managed for years. No way in hell am I delusional enough to think people treat me different because of who I root for though.
The only part of his proclamation that holds even an ounce of truth is that people tend to form kinships with others that they have things in common with. If you share a rooting interest with someone you are more likely to agree with them and form bonds. Nobody here roots for the Pacers and Nuggets, so he doesn't have that.
But that isn't why people don't like him and that is what he claims. So instead he chooses to play the victim card every chance he gets. There are plenty of other posters out here that are the lone representative for their teams in terms among the regular posters. And none of them get treated differently because of it.
Keep holding that as your lone go-to argument. Because I don't have any sort of desire to either live in or visit L.A.
before a 34 year old LeBron the last one was Shaq in what? 1992?
cmon now.
unless you want to count like Ron Artest. lol.
