Not necessarily. It's just that the Pacers and Nuggets are right up there with the Cavs in the list of teams this board generally does not like.
lol
No one cares enough about either team to dislike them.

That I agree with......has nothing to do with team of preference. You are defintely right about people responding to the poster instead of the post.
But it isn't because of their favorite team. That assertion is laughable and also what this dude believes.
I am a Wizards fan. They suck and have been horribly managed for years. No way in hell am I delusional enough to think people treat me different because of who I root for though.
The only part of his proclamation that holds even an ounce of truth is that people tend to form kinships with others that they have things in common with. If you share a rooting interest with someone you are more likely to agree with them and form bonds. Nobody here roots for the Pacers and Nuggets, so he doesn't have that.
But that isn't why people don't like him and that is what he claims. So instead he chooses to play the victim card every chance he gets. There are plenty of other posters out here that are the lone representative for their teams in terms among the regular posters. And none of them get treated differently because of it.
oh i am well aware of (i) retaining one's own players, and (ii) signing another team's free agent away. The NBA has a myriad of advantages for teams to retain their own free agents.Trouble reading? Or trouble comprehending?
When the Lakers have signed FA's, it's been their own top FA's.
Really not that difficult to grasp.

I was talking about the Lakers actually signing free agents away from OTHER teams- and as i said- I think Shaq in (1992 was it?) was the last significant one before LeBron in his age 34 season.
No. I think they generally do like me.You and @tlance couldn't honestly say with a straight face that my posts wouldn't be looked upon differently if I had a Golden State logo under my SN.
People generally don't like that the most intelligent and accomplished poster on this board (you know who I'm talking about) could actually be a Cavs fan. It's all it comes down to and all it ever has.

Cannot say I've followed LA as closely but this seems fair. Guessing until last season LA has not often had much room to sign FAs.No cap space available for FAs until Kobe retired, which unfortunately coincided with the Jimmy Buss "era". You could include Gary Payton, Karl Malone, Rick Fox, Ron Artest, Brian Shaw, Derek Fisher, etc on that list, but they weren't peak elite players of course.

Cannot disagree as I can't say I have noticed many posts of his.I thought my first post in this thread was objective, yet @HurricaneDij39 gave me a facepalm rating.
Cane's the biggest look at me poster here on the board. Which is unfortunate because on a base level I think he's fairly knowledgable about basketball. I generally look forward to his rankings post prior to the season and enjoy debating where certain guys rank. It's when he goes off on his rants that the board seems to hate the most.

If only you could express that sentiment when they're actually posted...
And no, you were facepalmed because there is a serious Halo effect going on and you are a blatant cotailer. That, plus that fact the phrase "better set for the future" rarely leads to actual success.
How many times have we put the Timberwolves in that category the last 15 years?
Explaining rankings I give is extremely petty and this will be the last time I do so.

Their fans have given us the most shit for years.
Funny, I thought we always gave the Kings the most shit, or maybe the Clippers?
I pretty much hate anyone who's ever played for the Lakers, with the exception of just a few people:
Shaq
Magic
Eddie Jones
Nick Van Exel
Lamar Odom
Cmon man.
Nobody can hate Mark Madsen!
My guess is that you don't hate Luke Walton either. And probably not Mike Penberthy or Smush Parker.
I hated Luke Walton as a player. He was one I despised. But that list is incredibly long. Derek Fisher, Sasha Vujavic, Jordan Farmar, Rick Fox, Devean George, etc.
Pretty much if you wore a Laker jersey I hated you. Smush is koo though because I hate Kobe too. LOL.
Wow.
Runs deep!
