Ironically…

It now looks like Westbrook was the main reason Malone lost the locker room.

He was receiving undeserved preferential treatment from Malone and players did not like that.

I think this was referenced, but yes, he was a beast that year and I would have had no problem with him winning it I suppose... I would just contend that other metrics, even unfair ones, would work in Lebron's favor. His stature, his global notoriety... this was his 5th year in the league, he was on the rise, there wouldn't be some MVP fatigue. I feel bad for CP, but like many players throughout history they may have had a justified claim that would be canceled out.

How do you rank Lebron's 2019 - 2020? He lead the league in assists.

What about 2004 - 2005, when he played 42mpg with 2.2 steals?

What about 2017 - 2018, when he played 82 games? And shot 54%.
