We saw what happens when Purdy can’t just survey the field and sit back there comfortably, while picking defenses apart over the middle.

The MVP thread on the main page has me laughing that people think Purdy is actually the MVP lol... you could plug a high school QB behind a healthy 9ers offense at this point and he'd look good, lol. Purdy is just like Jimmy Garporlrorlorlrol which is praiseworthy with what the front office and Shanny have done with the rest of the team, but lol at Purdy being MVP.

a team finally decided to clog the damn middle of the field and he looked terrible.

Passing 25-35 times a game only happens if you have a good running game. Most.teams get 60 offensive plays a game. Geno needs to be limited to 25 to 30 passes a game also. If he throws 37 times in the steelers game we lose.
That's what I said. A good run game limits the passing and most teams in the league have a 2 back system. Agreed Geno needs to be limited in passing if the run game gets going and the same for Mayfield. You don't want either guy passing 30+ times.

There's no point talking to him about it. We could poke several holes in his entire statement and he will just come up with something else to continue his narrative.
The crazy thing is TB is pretty much identical to the Hawks stat wise in each category listed below...

Yep, but don't let facts get in the way of a good story. I would argue that TBs defensive front 7 is a lot better than ours as well. The only thing that Seattle has that you can really say we have over that team is the RB room but our running game has been kinda hit and miss this year. Maybe our TE depth and 3rd WR a little better.

I agree with that which is why I thought it was odd that he would mention TB not having a good OL when our OL has been very disappointing as well... I think I heard them on ESPN yesterday mention that the Hawks are 5th in the league with RB's getting hit behind the LOS... That's on the OL...

Well that changes everything. Clearly Pete and the coaches don't know anything about football and they should be playing the backup QB instead of the starter.

One extreme to the next, stop trying so hard to flip it.

You said Lock had no game winning drives till his last one and that was false but then you flip it after learning something you didn't known to ridiculous hyper sarcasm.

Godwin isn’t good? Are you basically insinuating that Baker carries that team?

Nope but he would 100% do better on the Hawks loaded offense. Right now the offenses talent is carrying the qbs. That's why there wasn't a drop off from Geno to Lock.

Hypotheticals: Famously known for winning arguments.

And someone else already pointed out my error and I conceded the point. You came in and pointed out my error again and tried to use that as proof of.... something.

How is my comment hyper sarcasm? You are literally saying that the coaches should play Lock instead of Geno because he's better. How is my comment even a little sarcastic?

Do you not see it? Well if you don't that explains a lot. Lol

Do you believe that Drew Lock is the better option over Geno Smith? Yes or no? Pretty simple question.

Yes because he is younger and we don't know how high his upside is. He is as good as Geno right now with out the reps or snaps with the starters. His arm looks to be stronger and his accuracy is on par with Geno. He also stands stronger in the pocket AND is harder to bring down because he is stronger. Geno doesn't win the game against the Eagles, and I believe he loses to the steelers this weekend.

This isn't new I have said this before. I get it you think Geno is better, that's an opinion that doesn't hold much weight. Weak arm 33 years old takes to many sacks slow recognition slow progression...... this ( slow read a recognition) shouldn't happen to a 33 year old qb.

So how is my comment that you think you know better than Pete and the coaches hyperbole of any sort? You are literally saying that Lock is better.

Clipboard Jesus Syndrome is alive and well.
