BullseyeAgree we don't need more of the same.Keep on doing what you've always done and you will keep on getting what you've always got.

i like the Rogers and Knebel but if we are thinking about trading for a young starter like Pablo Lopez then up the trade offer and see if Miami would throw in Floro. Now, John King, Brett Martin and Dennis Santana. I’d be ok if they’re not here next year.
Opening up the year with this kind of bullpen wouldn’t be bad at all IMO.
No particular order
J Hernandez
J Leclerc
B Burke
T Hearn
J Tinoco
FA-Brad Hand / Taylor Rogers
FA- Corey Knebel/ Michael Fulmer
Trade- David Bednar/ Sam Moll
Clase is not a dime a dozen but getting closers yes is a uncertain situation @Uncle SiggyI think he’s worth $2.5 million but not $6 million.
Would be nice to still have him but would like more money to get others.
He’s coming off TJS, first year back.. should be even better next year.. shoot they may pick up his $6 million option.. he’s got a 129 ERA+, 3.09 ERA. Not terrible. Should get better
Would you resign Matt Moore.i like the Rogers and Knebel but if we are thinking about trading for a young starter like Pablo Lopez then up the trade offer and see if Miami would throw in Floro.
i would have Burke and Hearn as my long relievers/spot starters. of the two (hernandez and leclerc) i would prefer Hernandez as a middle reliever along with Martin and Montero ( i would sign him as a FA). and then as my 7, 8, 9 specialists i'd have Floro and Rogers and then my crazy move would be to sign Edwin Diaz to a 5 year deal as our closer
i would in place of Brett Martin but expect that Moore still wants to startWould you resign Matt Moore.
if we sign a FA starter and trade for another then we will need a bullpen which we don't have right now. we have 8 pitchers of which less than half are reliable. i feel that when we bring in Burke or Hearn or Moore we have a very good chance of hanging on to the lead but then we bring in Hernandez, Leclerc, Tinoco, Santana or King and it's almost a sure thing that they're going to blow it.When we start winning we will need guys who can pitch the 7th 8th 9th in consecutive nights.
Seems like they like to skip a night with some guys minus LeClerc
Still if Burke and Hearn can do this ok might include RHPs Hernandez and LeClerc
Santana was overused IMO. I would keep these and even Barlow
Don’t care for Martin, King or maybe Tinoco.
Need a power arm to close
Wonder if we get one in a trade. Hate to buy multiple years of a closer
MILB has not produced as thought
Yes we have to get the spots nailed down so everyone knows their roles. I have a tad more faith that some will improve as mentioned. Others I would not resignevery night the boys on Bally during the game show a board of the relievers and it's like a dartboard. there is no designated LR, there is no designated Middle Relievers and no designated 7th, 8th or 9th inning shutdown/closer reliever. it's whomever is available. hell go to the Texas Rangers website and look at the depth chart we don't have a closer
and every time TB seem to have Runners on base, they moved them effectively and drove them inCan’t score with RISP again.
