Same here. If he hits anywhere near what he’s hit at AAA he will have a spot for quite a while
Sometimes you bring a player up from the minors and they fail miserably but every now and then you bring one up and he helps ignite the team. Hoping for the ignition switch to be turned on.

With all of these outfielders coming up over the next 2 or 3 years, watch the Rangers go out and sign a couple of free agent OF to long term deals like they did a couple of years ago with MIF.

In discussing a possible roster nove to make way for JP Martinez, Jeff Wilson had this to say.

Something else to consider: With Jonah Heim healing quickly and possibly returning next week, the Rangers might be able to part with catcher Austin Hedges. Yes, they just got him at the trade deadline, but they didn’t give up much. Brad Miller, on the injured list, might also be expendable.

One interesting thing is that the Rangers saw that Martinez was ready to come up and yet Blaine Crim is the one who won the minor league player of the month. Martinez is certainly the right choice to bring up, but it does say a lot about the potential Crim has.

If top prospect lists were simply results driven then Blaine Crim, Abimelec Ortiz and JP Martinez would all be top 5 prospects.
