To be fair, none of the Rangers’ middle infield prospects were anywhere close to the talent level of Carter and Langford. Furthermore, Seager was and is still very young himself, so I don’t see how anyone could find the slightest fault with the FO for his contract. There wasn’t and isn’t a Corey Seager anywhere in our system.With all of these outfielders coming up over the next 2 or 3 years, watch the Rangers go out and sign a couple of free agent OF to long term deals like they did a couple of years ago with MIF.
