He's going to need an offseason to work on things and maybe a decent bit of AAA time. Still like his potential but he needs real work.Smith is Hitting .206. He really needs to get it worked out pretty quick

Nice team win, overall.Glad he could finally throw a strike
Game
Well likely still 90 losses+3 for 2022
72-90 would be a nice improvement off of last year.Well likely still 90 losses
More Rays exTribe and Yanks ahead.
Plus the Mariners with something to prove
anyone doubt now that Leclerc and Hernanadez are not the answers as a closer. and Leclerc has a $6M option for 2023. i would pass on it. we need dependable relievers and a real closer and not shop the bargain basement for themGood win. LeClerc is terrible, though.

Why? More or less money won't change his results.Maybe they can decline and then resign him to a $2.5 million deal

why? does that improve our bullpen. i know i'm in minority on this but we have a bargain basement bullpen and if we don't sign a quality closer and relievers (at least 2) then signing another good starter and maybe trading for another would be a waste because the bullpen can't hold leadsMaybe they can decline and then resign him to a $2.5 million deal
Agree we don't need more of the same.Keep on doing what you've always done and you will keep on getting what you've always got.why? does that improve our bullpen. i know i'm in minority on this but we have a bargain basement bullpen and if we don't sign a quality closer and relievers (at least 2) then signing another good starter and maybe trading for another would be a waste because the bullpen can't hold leads
