Bradford, Kent, Englert and Crim have all made convincing cases to put them on the 40 man this offseason, or we will risk losing them.

afraid there are just too many to cover, and we will have to trade some of our positional prospects during the off-season. i'm counting that least 12 to 14 that will have to be added or traded

One salary expert predicted Jacob deGrom would receive multiple two-year, $40 million-per-year offers, making the opt-out worthwhile. He would likely want more years, but the expert predicted the salary would drop for teams willing to go three years or more.

The expert predicted Edwin Diaz would break the $17.2 million record for closers and become the first to hit $20 million-per-year. “The top salary has been frozen for closers,” he said, meaning it’s been in that $15 million to $17 million range for a couple decades.

We can go with simply a good closer next year, but once we are expecting to make a run for the division we need a top notch closer. We definitely need help in the pen this coming offseason. We probably need a couple of acquisitions for the pen. To me, we seem to have very little help on the way. Snyder, Lee, and Church have all been disappointing.

They need to find a way to bring in enough relievers so that we don't have to pull starters out of consideration for starting because we need them in the pen. Now, once they prove they cannot start in the big leagues, then putting them in the pen is fine.(like Howard)

Keller has a 3.86 FIP and 2 WAR. Has a good hard 95-96 mph fastball and a new, very good sinker to go with his fastball. Decent slider.

I do think we are likely to pick up a reliever via trade. Don’t know much about Keller but Bednar seems like he has been around a bit

I wouldn’t mind seeing them resigning Moore. Seems they’re committed to keeping Burke in the bullpen. I would like to see them acquire two really good relievers, one being a closer. Leclerc is not the answer at closer. And I have no faith in Howard at all.
