That sounds like the view a lot of Oiler and Texan fans have of Dallas.

Heh. I swear those Houston fans this week are rooting for the Packers first and then maybe the Texans second.

Maybe.

Sounds like Mets fans about the Yankees throughout most of the 2000's

Rob gets it

Dude, a few years ago, Texans were in a close race with the Colts. They ended up sweeping us so they took the division.

But the Colts also played the Cowboys and a Cowboy win would help the Texans.

But some Houston people out there still could not bring themselves to root for Dallas even if it would have helped the Texans' playoff chances.

It really was that season I realized just how stupid most of the Houston fan base is.

Why not, you are, no?

The big difference I expect is not having 4 turnovers. One was Rodgers inside the 5 and Jordy had a fumble inside the 30. The current packer offense is 20 of 28 in the redzone in making TDs. All we hear is how the Cowboys dominated the Packers with Elliot rushing for like 150. When hearing that you would think they also dominated the TOP which was not the case. If the Pack had no turnovers in that game it could have easily gone the other way. From looking at the last game in my opinion that is the reason the Cowboys won.

So if by chance the Pack has no turnovers they will have a better chance of keeping Elliot off the field. Boths teams offenses are very similar with the cowboys averaging 376 yards a game and 26.3 points per game with a TOP of 31:55 where the Packers average 368 yards per game and 27 points per game with a TOP of 31:14. All this talk of limiting the time Rodgers has the ball is not shown in the games previous played by the Cowboys. The Packers have the same ability to limit how much Elliot can carry the ball as the TOP is like 40 seconds different. Some of the differences I see though is that we wont have Brice and Goodson the #4 and #5 corners starting at CB this time and will have the top 3CBs playing with Rollins, Randel, and Gunter. Jared Cook who didnt play last time also makes a hug difference as the coverage needed to cover him opened up the middle for many of the big plays against the Giants last week

Or turning the ball over gave us a short field so we scored faster than if you gave it to us at the 25.

Ah no it was fumbled at the Cowboy 25 it was in field goal range if he held on to the ball. So it took away at least 3 and the way the Packer O is now moving the ball most likely took away a TD.

With that and Rodgers fumble inside the 5 that is 2 tds lost to fumbles. Hmm 14 more points would have made a tie game

But it is not what Dallas got it is what GB could not do by not being able to finish 4 drives

If Green Bay gets at least 10 with the fumble inside the 5 and a field goal with the ball inside the 30 that is 10 points and if you take away the 3 the Cowboys got it is a 1 point game. If the Packers could have gotten 2 tds scoring a td on the Jordy fumble it is 14 more for GB and 3 less for the boys which gives a Packer win

So it was indeed the turnovers that determined the game

Any "improvements" Dallas has made since their first meeting, is more than offset by the fact that Rodgers is about 25x the QB he was back than

That guy is on a level like we haven't seen in a long time right now

There is no doubt about that. Just differing opinions on why they won. Many think it was because elliot just ran roughshod on the Packers for 150 yards or so and that it will happen again.

My opinion is it was because of the 4 turnovers. Since that game Elliot has been doing about the same on the Dallas side. On the Packer side the offense has been clicking and there has been one turnover in the last 7 games with Rodgers having a fumble 6 games ago against the #1 defense the Texans. But have taken it away 16 times. So the big thing I see is that there has been a significant change on the Packer side with turnovers which caused the loss in the last game with the Cowboys.
