Bassitt threw another shutdown frame in the bottom 5th.

Also....after there were 2 outs in the 6th, Davis singled, Nido doubled.....then the Phils pitcher threw a WP scoring Davis.

6-1 Mets.

Also.... @Nasty_Magician while we're giving props to Lugo & Shreve...we can't overlook how Diaz has stepped up too in his closer role so far.
Would love for him to keep that going.
So far so good. :hope:

Anyway...I just wanted to post this really good article on the "Polar Bear"

Absolutely, the relief I felt when he came back after that 2 or 3 game absence. Hopefully whatever head games he was going through are over with and we can trust this guy in a big game.

Ugghhh...and right after I posted that he gave up b2b 1out singles...and then a 2 out run scoring double...but on the play, the 3rd out was made on a throw to the plate...from Nimmo to McNeil to McCann that nailed the trail runner.

1-0 Nats, heading to the 5th

Mets getting guys on base and opportunities to score...but not bringing them home so far.

1-0 bottom 5th.

Edit:
Cookie gave up a solo HR in the 5th.
Mets now trail 2-0...heading to the 6th.

Go Redsox, Mariners & Dbacks...lol

Yes!!
That's what I'm talking about.

Mets loaded the bases in the 6th....and w/ 1 out Jeff McNeil hit a 2 run double to tie the game 2-2.
Runners on 2nd & 3rd for McCann....

edit:
McCann's sac fly rbi gives the Mets a 3-2 lead...middle of the 6th.

:clap::clap::clap:

What a punk
Meh...just a lame ass troll attempt by thor snore. Probably a little jealous too.
Something he'll likely never achieve...but if by chance he does then more power to him..but trying to discredit a MLB rarity was a dumb thing to do. A no-no by 1 pitcher or by 3,4 or 5 is still a legit no-no regardless.
We play @ the Angels in June. Hope he gets one of the starts.
Should be interesting.
