To kick off this month's thread I Just wanted to post yesterday's game stuff in here because it was the final game of the series and it was also the 1st of May.

Mets 10 - Phillies 6
Mets have won all 7 series to begin the season.

Scherzer now 4-0.

The Wrap/Recap....

The Box....

The Vids....

Trainer's Room....
Mets RHP Sean Reid-Foley was placed on the 10-day injured list with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his pitching elbow that will sideline him indefinitely.
It's possible he could need Tommy John surgery. Yoan López was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to fill the bullpen spot.

Up Next....

New York hosts the Atlanta Braves on Monday night to close the home stand which included a Mets combined 5 pitcher no hitter on Friday.

RHP Chris Bassitt (3-1, 2.25 ERA) will start for the Mets against Braves LHP Max Fried (2-2, 3.00) in the opener of a four-game series that includes a doubleheader on Tuesday.

The fact that they left the door open for Cano to come back as a quality control coach or some other position within the organization is big. Shows class.... and the players & fans will appreciate that.

Looks like Bassitt is getting low on gas and leaking oil here in the 6th.
2-2 tie now....still only 1 out with runners at 2nd & 3rd.

edit:

Now it's 3-2 Braves...but it was sac-fly rbi out that was turned into a DP...8-3-5 after the run scored.

3-2 Middle of the 6th.

Mets loaded the bases after there were 2 outs, but couldn't get a run across.
Still down a run 3-2 after 7.
Canha struck out against the righty reliever (former Met Colin McHugh)
I hope Buck is saving Dom for an AB in the 8th, or if needed in the 9th.
I might have gone to him there to PH for Canha (even though he's been "hot")...and kept him in to play LF.

Trevor May has been off. Not great. We've shot ourselves in the foot several times in this one.

Yep....I think the emotional high from the no-no on friday...and then last night's game was still lingering.

Also..fuck Travis D'Arnaud...his pansy ass couldn't stay healthy for some reason while he was on the Mets during those years. Plus he would never hit worth a crap.

Mets lose 5-2.
Doubleheader on Tuesday.

Also...why blame Buck today for an umpiring crew's blunder yesterday?
Especially when....
Mets pitcher Yoan López, optioned to Triple-A Syracuse following Sunday's victory, received a three-game suspension that starts whenever he returns to the active big league roster — unless he appeals.

Trainer's Room:

Mets relief pitcher Trevor May said he's not 100% healthy and will have an MRI on Tuesday. "It's hard to compete when you're just worried about whether or not something's going to hurt to throw or not," he said. "By the end of tonight, I was just hoping that the ball was hit at somebody and that's no way to throw in a major league game. I don't deserve it, but my teammates definitely don't deserve it. It's to the point now where I hope we either find something or find nothing."

Up Next:
The teams play a single-admission doubleheader Tuesday. RHP Charlie Morton (1-2, 7.00 ERA) will start the opener for Atlanta, with RHP Kyle Wright (3-0, 1.13) going in the nightcap. RHP Carlos Carrasco (1-1, 4.09) and LHP David Peterson will pitch for the Mets, although Buck Showalter would not reveal the order until Tuesday.
