See Murph is in left so Gentry on the bench. Want Gentry's speed. Do not care if a righty is pitching.

For the love of Gawd.

JD, take Wash aside. Please tell him to take our once beloved (I still love the guy) Murph and glue him to the bench....
or else.

Almost September and he refuses to give Gentry the regular start...I want the speed as well.

If someone can posts some stats that Murph has been on fire for the last...10-15 days.
I'm not looking it up, but I highly doubt it
how about OBP, I can't believe Gentry's isn't higher

Meh....

whaaa? lol

If I was Yaseil Piug, would I be talking to you people?

Now I did say I was kidding. But after seeing this, I thought of him for some reason. It does seem like this is the way he's approaching the game right now. "Cut off man; what effing cut off man!"

I heard Bowden say today that if Cy voting took place right now that Yu would win over Scherzer. So is there an issue with us keeping Yu under the current contract if he wins?

First, I think he is incorrect in this assessment. I'd love to see Yu win it, but as of today, I don't see this happening. We still have 5 more starts from ea (give or take). So a lot can happen. Second, I don't know his contract. But JD/Nolan would never agree to a contract which could be aborted by "voters." He could get some more money. Hope so really, if he wins it.

Same result ... but the Blackhawk downing in Mogadishu was by RPG rather than SA7.
Winding, are you by chance familiar with General William "Bill" Garrison?

For all ya'll out side the dfw viewing area, Cruz was at the RBPIA taking batting practice. He has to leave before the fans start arriving. FYI

This one didn't work out so good. But hey, no one hits everything they swing at and JD is no exception. One of the things which I think "psychologically" helps this team is JD is always trying to make the team better, and they know it. See this seasons additions of Rios and Garza. Gotta be a mental lift when the GM is out there hustling.

Exactly.
JD frustrated the heck out of me in the off-season, but at the end of the day....he's one of the best.
Players down left and right, and again this season.... he did some hustling to give us a chance to win this thing.

Actually the contract includes a player opt out of the sixth year if he wins a cy young.

Thought he was down in the DR at some facility training.

Saw a quote today from Wash and he said if the Rangers make the play-offs, then Cruz will definitely be part of his post season line up. Anyone else see this? Because I can't remember where I read it.

Problem is, which outfielder gets dropped from the postseason roster. Since JD makes that call it better be Murphy and we better keep gentry.

Damn. Is that right? My apologies. I stand corrected (again). So after 2016, if he wins one, he can't opt out? Good info. Did you know this or look it up?

That's a negative. Wash is talking about it now. I saw him in the cage swinging the bat at the ballpark.
