Yep, just another no-name no-talent scrub powering up for the A's. The last 2 years has been nothing but the likes of Vogt, Moss, Reddick, Norris, and Crisp batting .230 and slugging HR after HR in that spacious park. Not suspicious at all. No other team in baseball wins as many games by complete spares homering for them. A's rank 8th in HR in all of baseball despite playing in one of the most pitcher-friendly stadiums. The 7 teams in front of them all have legitimate sources of power who hit for average too, guys like Beltre, Cano, and Ortiz. The A's have Moss, Reddick, Cespedes, Vogt, Young, Smith, and Norris all hitting below .250, some far below. So apparently they can't hit worth a lick other than to hit HR. I would say they were a team made up of nothing but Rob Deer, Mark Reynolds, and Pete-Incaviglia types. But those guys at least hit for power their entire careers. Oakland's scrubs never hit for power until they became A's.

I was just on Gamecast looking at their lineup...it is absurd these chumps are anywhere near us...and I said the same thing last year...they work the count, hit the ball with RISP, can hit with power, and they have a pitching staff that can keep it close.

We still should be kicking their butt...but we lose series at home to the Twins and Mariners...

That's true more or less. Am simply pointing out that 20-wins in August like it was a race or something doesn't win anything ... unless it's followed by 16 - 18 wins in September.
