Its so fitting that Corey Seager was the world series mvp. If this team wasn't so shitty with his brother Seattle would have had the inside track to sign Corey. He should have been our player doing this here.

I can only imagine what kind of deal Dipoto would have made to him. 5 year, $60M, but hey we were in on him...

Hope I can hear more of the talking heads telling me that signing big name free agents isn't the way to put together a winning baseball team.

Mariners are the only team to never have won a pennant, but that list of teams to never win a world series keeps shrinking too. Another 20 years like the last 20 and the M's may very well find themselves alone on both.

The whole big name free agent stuff is so disingenuous too. No one is asking the Mariners to try to go be the Mets, Padres or Yankees in buying free agent. At least everyone I know isn’t asking that. They build a pretty good core and they have to supplement that. And since they didn’t the past 3 offseasons with free agency it is now going to cost them Gilbert, Miller or Woo in a trade.

Yeah there are a bunch of ways to win everyone says, but to my knowledge being forced to trade a young controllable pitcher with ace quality stuff or two very young and very controllable arms with massive potential (at least Miller) has never won. The only team who was good that I can think of was the Rays with Snell
