Playoff experience even if not WS favorites helps development. It is a crapshoot IMO to gut good players for a window conservatively thought 3 years away.
We may have a tank tax before then. I would like to see all teams attempt to contend. This not happening is bad for baseball
Also teams evolve within a season to be favorite.

There has to be some good breaks go your way to win a WS. Stars need to be aligned

A good enough team doesn't need previous playoff experience to be good. The 2010 team didn't really need it. The 1996 team didn't need it and the 1998 and 1999 teams had it and looked pitiful in the playoffs. The last time we were in the postseason we had playoff experience and looked pretty bad.

Tanking has nothing to do with what I suggested.

Our WS window is most likely 3 years away unless we try and spend our way there which would be completely out of character. Like it or not we are a ways away.
