I did not expect a regression, but I did not expect this much of an improvement. I mean it is not easy to improve what was arguably the NFL's best defense.

I'm looking forward to seeing this defense on the road against a stronger offensive opponent than the Panthers. I'm curious if they have finally taken the next step and will carry this strong play on the road with them.

I have no doubt they do.

Seems like Rice and Wilson got on the same page today. He's got faith that if Rice is free and there's space for him to make the catch then Rice is going to make it. The ridiculous thing about Wilson is that he makes a ton of high risk throws and hardly ever gets picked off.

Unfortunately (IMO) man-to-man defense is really risky to run unless you have the CBs to do it like Seattle does. I think the Jags would be better off with a more zone oriented defense. You can do more with less in zone.

Ryan Tannehill looking like money. I did not think he would make a great NFL QB but will say I have been wrong.

He's just a master of high pointing the ball. Rice is perfect for him because of his length and sick hands. He's got a slingers mentality on top of it as well. I think the reason he holds the ball for so long is that he doesn't want to settle for anything behind the first down marker.
