Yes game speed looked like block in back but replays shows it was from the side (at least the last block). The first one I did think they'd call it
On the last one, if you watch you can see Slater is gaining on the Jet but pulls up because it would be a block in the back and lets Wilson cross in front of him to block from the side.
Fantastic football IQ all around.
And wow, Slater has still got an afterburner.

Andrews missing time is hurting the oline greatly.

I've heard NE will have the 3rd most cap space next season.
Heardn that Andrews has a severe thigh "issue". Didn't say bruise, muscles pull or anything, a severe high issue that 'could be season ending' for the 30 year old center.

As far as cap money goes, BB will have between $58M-$70M. That does not include any increase in the cap. Supposedly, the owners want to increase the cap to $220M and hold it for three years. Ony problem is that they will spend and bitch for expansion next year. Sorta like the government and their budget. As of today, the Patriots have the third most amount of money.

Let's hope he spends it a bit more wisely than he did two years ago.

Well they clearly aren't Jets fans!

One hell of a play for sure!

2 block in backs could have been called but I am so glad they weren't
Yeah, both had side block elements but are sometimes called. Neither had impact on the play so it would have sucked for them to be called.

It's still about perspective and not reviewable I think. Point is there was really no need to make that block
I couldn't agree more. Jones was more in the clear than the back side angle made it appear. And if he did catch him I kinda liked our chances with one play left inside the 10.... with the wind.

and he didn't fuck it up. He put the ball where it was supposed to be, when it was supposed to be.
He played with;
3 first round picks at WR
2 first round picks at O Line
1 first round pick at RB.

At a minimum.
How many second rounders? Third?

He wasn't getting sacked in 2.93 seconds, he had time and the best of the best at WR/RB

He didn't fuck it up is really not a great endorsement.

We had chances all day inside the 10 and did nothing.

We got kinda lucky that a flag happy ref didn't throw a flag for a blindside hit. NFL already said it was "from the side" and therefore legal but on any given day a ref can really fuck shit up and that hit was a least in the vicinity of being questionable.

So you agree that when he has more than 2.93 seconds and quality receivers, Mac gets them the ball?

So with arguably the worse O Line in the NFL, A shitty OC the issue is the QB.

Well hell that makes sense
I agree the line is really bad and its not all Mac’s fault. Just so frustrating to see him have a decent day, and sputter so badly when nearing the EZ. It seems like he starts to move the ball efficiently then they change the plays away from what is working. So that is true as well. It’s not all his fault of course.
