This has be the worst game that this team has played. They just cannot stop Tua and the Dolphin offense.

Covington just seems to have the wrong defense for every play and the fins are taking advantage.

1:50 left in the first half and the Patriots and Maye just got his arm hit and the dolphins recover. Replay shows his arm going forward. A disaster avoided.

Lowe with his 3rd false start. 3rd and 15........

Robinson sacks Maye fo his second sack.

Seven offensive players cannot block four Dolphin Rushers.

Can the defense stop the Dolphins from moving 59 yards ???????????????????????

NOPE!!!!!!!! Dolphins move 25 .

Hill catches one at the 2 yard line. 19 seconds left.

8 seconds left. 3rd and Goal....................

5 seconds left 4t and goal and the Dolphins will end the half with a FG.

Great Goal line stand by the Defense 24-0 Dolphins.

2:00 left in the game.

31-15 Miami.

Maye threw one TD to Hooper.

I was out checking on the pump that's keeping ground water out of the pool that supposed to be plastered tomorrow and I cannot find anything about how the other 8 points were scored. Nothing in the CBS Box score.

According to the two guys doing this game, Vedarian Lowe was a one man wrecking crew for the Patriot offense. Two motion and two holding penalties.

The score was a fumble pickup by Gonzalez for a 62 yard TD.

Great observation by a writer at the game:

Drake Maye did everything anyone could expect of him. He just doesn't have quality support. Offensive line penalized nine times, WRs dropping balls and running wrong routes will never lead to a victory.

I am really starting to think the Mayo selection is not well thought through. What was it eight penalties in the first half and he's walking the sidelines looking for someone to run to the store and get him a turkey club. He said the team is soft yet there is no passion from the coaching staff. I know someone here will banter on about how coaches don't make penalties, blah blah blah they do instill discipline and this team seems to lack discipline and passion.

Say what you will, and I know a bunch of you were calling for his head, but the Belichick run defense kept the teams close in almost every game they played with a bad offense.

Now, even that is gone.

Mayo removed RT Jacobs from the game and replaced him with Owenu and put Sow at RG and said it was because of the penalties. Yet he left Lowe in at LT. Why? Lowe played worse than Jacob. Is it because he now has no backup LT?? Who goes in if Lowe breaks a leg???

I'm willing to give Mayo a little elbow room, but it's beginning to look like he's going to need an arm's length and that's just a bit too much. I know everyone is willing to give him another year, but if you bring in a slew of new coaches, you'll never know if they are causing any improvement and covering bad head coaching.

Might have to sweep the floor clean.

I didn't like the hire to begin with regardless of the other circumstances. I have said many times Pats fans need to be mentally prepared for years at the bottom. We will suck for a decade or so. Sure, fire Mayo. This year or next year. After he is replaced and the new HC has a couple of years of instituting "HIS" way, Maye will be gone. And then if he doesn't immediately win, on to the next HC. Or HC and GM. Then the next QB.

We will be the 1990's Browns or Cardinals...or late eighties and early nineties Pats.

Kraft fucked up by letting Bill know whose ego was bigger.

Mayo: "There's no excuse for players causing those penalties. I told them so after the last game!"

There's no excuse for allowing that past replay, and I don't mean from a homer perspective. The NFL product as a whole is cheapened when they don't follow their own rules. Perhaps they thought it wasn't perfectly clear? I think the rules specialist calling the game would be the first to offer that as a factor.

And?

All I have seen from Mayo is a dude walking the sidelines. I have not seen any in game coaching, no talking to the line during the game. Having a Buddy Buddy after the game is cute but what about during the game.

I am not saying can him after one season but he is the HC he needs to act like one.

I was making that up, pointing out that it seemed little actual emphasis had been made. I was trying to make the point "He is the head coach and not acting like it". Maybe I should have greened it.
