The weak holding calls are starting to make me a believer that the NFL is fixed.
I think they learn from this. Like mentioned in post #33 they were/had this game if not for one or two unfortunate plays and those questionable penalties.
The DBs have been playing well. But the DL and LBs are pathetic. I thought that may have changed with the return of Barrmore. Oh well.
Who would you replace Slye with? I'm a fan of his. He's been the MVP in a couple of games IMO. That 66 yd attempt at the end was on target just a couple yards short in 30 degree weather.
I was expecting somebody would blame this on Slye. I don't think he deserves that.Draft picks is why they didn't challenge i bet! But yes, they really should have.
I didnt like those weak holding calls. I get it "technically" yes but not called all season except with this crew.
I'm pissed about this loss. Yes they keep draft pick but how does losing a game like this give anyone confidence? Defense is crap now.
Bad playing calling and Slye needs to be cut yesterday!
I'm sure you've heard it before. The only problem I see with this is that the past few years we were cheering for an elite defense that kept an inept offense in the game and everyone was saying we only need a little bit more from the offense to make the playoffs.
Now, there isn't the elite defense. Even though much of the roster is the same.
It is not going to get done oin a year. We will need a good 2025 to get the right veterans to sign.....If nothing else, there is real potential to rebuild this team in one year and make it a playoff team. Not necessarily a Super Bowl team, but one that could get to the AFCCG. This is where we will find out whether or not the new front office is capable of using a huge amount of money to spend properly for 'needed' players. Then make intelligent decisions in the draft, whether it be for a high level player or a trade to get extra picks because the guy they really want and need will still be available if they trade down. It will all boil down to the scouting group and Elliot Wolfe. End of story.
It is easier for the refs to call penalties against losing teams that make a lot of mistakes.I don't know who replace Slye to be honest but yeah after seeing that 66 yard attempt perhaps I prematurely wanted him gone. Fair weather and that's goooood
Yes, the NFL clearly is fixed. I don't think I've seen such weak holding calls consistently being called against one team in a game
Do officials take days off? Plays off?I just don't understand how all season those "holding" calls aren't made and then all of a sudden its a flag fest. Granted it was the Officiating Crew who did it last time as well
Do officials take days off? Plays off?
They miss a play and have a look on their face that says, "so what?"
I don't think it's selective so much as sloppy?????They are very selective when they do call penalties it seems like, especially this season
Sometimes they let the players make the calls. A DL throws his arms back "like he was being held" and a flag comes out.Do officials take days off? Plays off?

Officials ignore another blatant helmet-to-helmet hit in Patriots game
A clear helmet-to-helmet hit on Patriots' Hunter Henry was seemingly ignored by NFL officials on Sunday.musketfire.com
LOL Okay, more power to you.You can think what you want but there is nothing that will make me think something isn't "fixed" with the nfl

We've talked about all this in the past. I think it's real easy to miss calls in the NFL and real easy for fans sitting at home with 70" Hi Def TVs instant replay and slo mo to get calls correct.perhaps it was just bad wording on my part but it is amazing what they do miss and what they actually call
With the recent turn of events, the team may need to shift FA/draft strategy? The only problem I see with this is that the past few years we were cheering for an elite defense that kept an inept offense in the game and everyone was saying we only need a little bit more from the offense to make the playoffs.

So was the no call face mask. How was that missed? We've talked about all this in the past. I think it's real easy to miss calls in the NFL and real easy for fans sitting at home with 70" Hi Def TVs instant replay and slo mo to get calls correct.
The Henry hit was damn sure a missed call, my question is, is that a reviewable call in NY
I'm ok with this as long as the team doesn't quit and keeps the games competitive. That isn't easy for me to say. I'm a win at any cost kind of guy. Checkers against my 10 year old nephew, I still want the W.Loss
