For anyone interested... Marlins called up Brian Flynn to start this week... He was a tigers draft pick and the third part of the sanchez infante trade along with turner and brantley... He destroyed aaa this year... And he is a lefty.

Gotta give up something to get something. Very pleased with the seasons we've gotten out of Sanchez (now leading the AL in ERA) and Infante (hitting .317).

But at least this shows the Tigers CAN develop talent in their farm system... contrary to what a certain Royals fan might say.

Yesterday bit,but today my Red Sox have Jon Lester, who, prior to last season's Valentine Fiasco
had one 4 straight seasons with WHIPs below 1.280. 1.202 in 2010.

If Lester gets the kind of run support my BoSox are capable of providing...

Should be a good game. The Tigers have a habit of supplying Max plenty of run support. Gotta like the Tigers chances against Lester since they are facing him this year, not in 2010.

Yeah, I don't know why Leyland said that, or why he would hold himself to it. Play with the players he had all year? Castellanos is actually an infielder. It could only help his trade value in the offseason if he got a look at the highest level there. Hope you don't get your Ramon wish burf, but I bet you will.

I'm sure it's because the Tigers have spent 1.5 minor league seasons converting Castellanos to an outfielder -- primarily because he was below-average defensively at 3B. He spent the last 50 games in Erie playing RF in 2012, and hasn't played 3B at all while at Toledo in 2013.
