I don’t know that I like the trade up or down in the 1st round as I think a player will fall to us that will make us better. I would be more ok with trading back up into the end of the 1st round, but even that would not be my ideal situation unless some one was falling unexpectedly.

My biggest head scratchers this free agent season

1- Bengals -Trae Waynes 5th highest paid CB in the NFL? What???

2- Texans Randall Cobb 3 yr 27 mil? He is well past his prime and injury riddled.

3- Jets George Fant 27.3 mil 3 yr- The Jets keep overpaying to get guys to play for them

4-Dolphins Ereck Flowers 3 yr 30mil- Bust at OT better at OG- Did not see this contract coming.

5- Bears Jimmy Graham 2 yr 16 mil. Can’t run, can’t catch. Have the Bears not been watching the Packers the past two years?

It sure looks like the Broncos are rolling to some kind of master plan. Their trades and FA acquisitions were not haphazard.

Yeah don't make that bet. Not sure where that is coming from but I can say with confidence it is not coming from the Broncos.

My guess is this is coming from Cam Newton's camp to try and drive up cost. Brady's camp tried it earlier in the offseason and it got shot down quickly. This one is also being shot down very quickly with those closest to the team in the media. Benjamin Allbright has said he talked to the Broncos directly (the higher ups) and they all said this report is false. Now yes maybe they are lying not wanting to drive up cost but this just doesn't make sense.

I mean even just the player does not fit the scheme at all. Shurmur likes athleticism but he also really likes short and intermediate throw accuracy. That is something Newton has never had. HE wants the ball to get out of the QB's hands in a hurry. Cam again has been one of the slowest from snap to release because of his desire to use his athleticism.
