Good interview with Romo on The Ticket this afternoon. Revealed a little about how his back is coming along. Pretty much said the back is 100% but the conditioning isn't. Even running, there comes a point when the back says "OK buddy... that's enough".

Bottom line - at this point I don't hear anything to be overly alarmed about. The idea is for the back to be ready 9/7/2014.

Dallas Cowboys LT Tyron Smith signs eight-year contract extension, deal worth $109 million | Dallas Morning News

This is a damn good signing. Hard to believe he only be 30 at the end of this contract. Pro Bowl left tackle locked up for the foreseeable future.

Great deal for y'all. Jealous with how your Oline is shaping up...

Also pretty good news. Red letter day after the injuries you've already seen this year...

It's been ignored for way too long. It's the one area (D-Line is the other) where you can't scrimp. Jerry should have learned that 20 years ago. Glad he's finally getting it straightened up

There was a lot of knashing of teeth around here about him only practicing 2 out of the first 5 days of camp. He needs to be ready 9/7. Not today.

Yeah... there's another bastion of beauty right there. When we moved to Texas from the Central Coast of California my dad decided he would take that route instead of the Barstow/Flagstaff/Albuquerque path we usually used. Hell On Earth is right!

Speaking of Barstow about 4 years ago I bought a Pickup in LA off E-bay and flew out to pick it up. I came back to Texas the Barstow/ Flagstaff route. nice n cool at 70 in LA in June then the climb up to Barstow. I thought the A/C was not working so I stopped at a Chevron to check things out and Fillup with Gas. I have never pumped gas so fast in my life. When I got out of the truck the heat took my breath away. I swear it was 130 degrees. Got a cold drink in the store and the damn Ice melted b 4 I could get back in the truck. How anybody can live there is beyond me. That is the closest I have been to hell on Earth although I hear Yuma Az in July is a fine place to be

My wife used to say she had been to California because her grandfather took her to Needles. I spent years explaining to her the failed logic in that statement.

I'm happy to report she has now officially been to California.

What's up Otis?

Any concern that the Boys list 15 injured players not practising yesterday and 14 of them are on defense. Think they should cancel tomorrows game.

Appears the mods on here are a little slow. How are they on censorship?

No posting of pron or use of the word. Everything else is pretty much fire away. The mods are good folk. Only recommendation I can make is that you don't enjoy the scenery, the preferred response is a muted one. I've seen more than a few former FN'er get into heated diatribes over perceived slights that led to a dismissal from the premises.

You will really like the "no dupes" feature here. And - no one reports abuse. The mods take care of those issues.

C'mon over to the "Fan Nation" thread. You'll see some folks you know.

Thanks Cali. I think you'll find me rated PG at worst. Also please don't take the two upcoming ass whoopin's by the Cowboys personally this year. I'd also like to add my support for the Redskins name. All the whinny little twits will blow themselves out after the media gets bored with it. By mid-season it'll all be forgotten for another ten or twenty years. Providing Goodell doesn't do something stupid.
