Now... Normally, a comment like Heater's wouldn't bear much of a response. Instead, there was this;

Now Heater - rightly so - responded in kind;

At that point - I did go to ford and ask for suggestions, and this thread was created. The response to that was - after the fact - expected.

First off I hope your wife is in good health. Cancer took my farther too damn fast for anyone to do anything to fight it.

Second how I see you should matter to no one other than me.

Third I ask again. If I go around the boards dropping snide remarks will I be called a troll? You sound like a smart person so this shouldn't be too hard to answer.

If you were known as nothing more than a trouble making douchebag with no other agenda than starting a shitstorm, then yes. You would be considered a troll and would be treated as such... justifiably.
However - if you were a guy with less than 100 posts and no obvious axe to grind and no identifying markers as a follower of the Cowboys, then a more prudent approach would be to use the approach you responded to jctoo with;

I'm jumping in the middle of this conversation; my two cents we've all been a little hyper sensitive or quick to overreact here (This is the Cowboys We're always under attack The Americas Team thing I guess). We're quick to defend this Star. Keep coming here and posting one of two things will happen. You will expose your self as a loyal boys fan or a fraud. Yeah we have some board police in here, but when you pass the smell test it will be all good.

This board ain't so bad we have guys who rep rival teams who we happily exchange with (Kevin and PE1 come to mined) and we have turds from rival teams who we rightfully bust their chops.

In short hang in there and find out who we are before you kill us and we will afford you the same opportunity.

So... in summary; the history is here now for everyone to make judgements on. I will say that I made a mistake in using the following sentence;

"Seriously - the Cowboys threads have some of the most butthurt posters I've ever seen."

That casts a negative light on a whole bunch of damn good posters who had no part in this silly Internet squabble. To them - I apologize.

The defense is where my interest lies tonight. We know that the secondary is going to be a problem with everyone that matters except for Scandrick in street clothes.

I really need to see Carter play better than the disaster he offered last season. And yeah... I'll be watching the kid Bishop.
