He's getting a tryout and the Knicks get rid of the Lope long-term deal with Rose off the books this Summer.

Rose has alot to prove and will be paid if he does prove it. I dont think the bulls were willing to chance Derrick having a great year and the bulls getting forced to pay him again. Yeah, I mean the bulls ARE counting on Derrick having a good year.

Now we see if Butler is moved and the bulls are in full rebuild.

True but they gave up nothing. Grant was terrible although still young, Calderon couldn't guard me and Lopez is decent but hardly irreplaceable.

I actually like this. Rose and Melo will get hurt, they'll win 15 games, Porzigus will have a year to fill out and they have their #1 pick after next season. They should have kept Rambis which would have ensured a 70 loss season

I'd only take Rondo on a one year deal and even then I don't want him. Conley's a great idea, another injury prone guy who can help ensure a terrible season and a lottery pick. We Can change the name Of M.S.G. to M.A.S.H

That's fine. Still an upgrade at what they have. And if it doesn't work out, his salary is off the books. Better than having Lopez at the contract he was on.

This looks like the NBA equivalent of the Eagles getting Sam Bradford. Just kicking the tires in case something works but you know the Knicks will move on to plan B if it doesn't.

I'd say this is pretty much win/win
