Tua reminds me a bit (perception wise) of Rick Mirer where he had some obvious flaws but had the aroma of "winner" all over him. In Rick's case he reminded people of the path followed by Joe Montana.
Hmm interesting.

And I kind of agree.

I think 11 wins are very attainable, and I to believe we split with Buff and could sweep Miami, I am not so sure about Tua
I think Tua may be fine. I really believe this defense is going to be tough for Tua to handle. Bill and team are going to re-write Miami's game plan for them. I won't go so far as calling it impossible for them to gain a split but it will be very tough for them.

Note: NE and Miami scored the same number of points when both games are added from last years games.
This is not last years team!

I'm not as sure. In college he seemed to be playing faster than his competition. I don't mean physical speed but decision and cool confidence stemming from that. So far that's was seems to be missing. He playing at the same speed and the swagger just isn't there.

You are talking last year - covid year. Lot's of rookies struggled.
He'll be better this year - just not going to like what Belichick throws at him!
I NE we'll just pound him.
In Miami, I see us giving him the Goff treatment.....

Even TB12 thinks Damian Harris could be the RB of the future. Bigger, stronger and faster than 2020.

Wow I like that kid, what a great demeanor and mindset. And goodness did you see the legs on that dude? And if memory serves he has pretty decent hands too. I hope we see a lot of him this year and I hope we see a lot of run based offense. I know you have to be balanced but I love a quality run game and I really feel that is what the Pats are gearing toward.

A very strong running game can be the most devastating defense. And the most devastating to a defense.
The best way to a strong pass game is a strong running game. The defense respects the line and the QB has more time. The safeties even inching toward the box gives more room for receivers and opportunities to go over the top.

The eating up clock takes time away from the other team and keeping them off the field for long stretches helps the defense stay fresh and the opposing offense from building any rhythm.

Are you going to be there?
Right now, yes. I plan to get up early, take my time and drive down. No need to camp out. If someone has one of those monsters and needs some company, I could be convinced to do a sleepover.

Combined with a QB who can make strong reasonable accurate, reasonably catchable throws at the right time.
Which Cam could not at times last year.

Nothing much has been happening lately. Camp opens in about 3-1/2 weeks and things will happen quickly.

Thought I'd start a thread dedicated to roster moves.
