Jordan would roast Johnson for 60 pts the next game. Lebron will probably just send a vague subtweet.

I don't know about that. Anyone remember the Heat Nets series a couple years back??

Paul Pierce ran his mouth after game 2 talking about how he wanted to guard LeBron because he could shut him down. Said he told Kidd to give him the assignment. Kidd gave it to him.

LeBron dropped an easy 49 on him in game 3.

I won't look into it too much as I doubt SJ is in Lebron's head that much. But he probably is starting to agitate Lebron. Unfortunately for Johnson, the rest of his team doesn't have his attitude. The Pistons defense has been pathetic.
in his head? LOL

LeBron was 6/6 when defended by Johnson.

Cavs tie an NBA record for 3's in a playoff game with 20. Very good night for the Cavs. It seemed like Detroit focused more on defending the Big 3 tonight and left shooters more open- all though- ill tell ya- Jr Smith does NOT have to be NEAR open to make 3's.

Now on to Detroit where the Pistons will be ready to try and defend home court. NOBODY is beating the Cavs if they shoot like they did tonight- hopefully each series they can get a couple games where they are just lights out from 3.

Delly with 9 assists and 1 turnover. Thank goodness they took a chance on this kid.

Love is in the Pistons and Drummonds head. The Cavs almost completely abandoned Thompson covering Drummond and having a traditional center yesterday---- Frye and Love are making it very tough on the Pistons and spacing the floor beautifully for Bron, Kyrie- and Delly to drive and kick....

Game 1 the Pistons shot unreasonably well from 3, likely better than they will all series. Game 2 the Cavs did exactly that. Difference is when the Pistons did they still lost, when the Cavs did they blew them out. This is why I wasn't overly concerned about game 1 being "close".

very true......its awfully hard to win games when you hit 5 three pointers and the other team hits 20! unbelievable. Griffin really has done a good job creating a deep and versatile roster that can play different styles- and getting shooters, more shooters, and more shooters.

I was really impressed with Kyrie and Delly's ball handling. 2 turnovers between the both of them.

@Heatles84 didn't say he was in his head. He said he doubt that he is in his head. He stated that he just thinks Johnson is starting to agitate Lebron which is very possible IMO

oh ok...well - whatever he is doing i hope he keeps it up...brons shooting 60% on 21/35.....that dunk he had in- i BELIEVE the 2nd quarter from the Delly pass in the paint was just CRAZY....he was pumped afterwards.

like i said the other day- when you have teams talking in the media and complaining about fouls and trash talk etc. you know you are in their heads and they are half defeated mentally.

They won because of Detroit's awful defense. Love and Kyrie didn't shoot well and the Cavs bench was forced to come to the rescue of the worst "big 3" of all time. They're just lucky the 3's were falling. If the cavs are relying on any of those things to win against a good team, they're in for a rude awakening. Warriors are going to pound them into the ground... if they can get by Atlanta.

How'd I do?

well played.

I might have made a reference to LeBron's aging bad back- all though- after that 2nd quarter dunk it looked like LeBron could have passed for his 24 year old self!

all though- i gotta say- insulting and belittling LeBron's toughness for getting angry after getting elbowed twice in a row would have been the icing on the cake.

We both know if Kobe got elbowed he would have reached in the opposing players chest and ripped his heart out and ate it Khaleesi style at half court- LeBron just complains to the refs and makes idle threats.

I love Stanley and think his team needs the attitude he's trying to bring to the series.

That said... some of what he said was really cringey. Like saying he is in LeBron's head. Uh... the guy whose head you're in just went 12-17 from the field for 27 points. Saying LeBron was taking cheap shots on him.

These are things that rookies don't say about veteran superstars. Then again, that's part of the reason we love Stanley.

The funny thing is Lebron is in Stanley's head and Lebron giving him that little bump is when it kinda started. The thing is when you light a fire under Lebron it just motivates him more, that's why this wasn't the right move on his part. I like the little bump it reminds more of what basketball used to be, it's too soft now. It really wasn't anything though honestly.

They shot well especially from 3, but they did have 12 turnovers and Detroit got 23 points off turnovers---needs to improve bigtime. And they got outrebounded. I know Detroit is one of the best in the league in this category but it still needs to improve. Also, free throw shooting needs to improve, I understand some guys aren't good but guys that are good are missing free throws. So they played well but they can play better, they just can't shoot much better from 3 though lol.

yah...you could see the rebounding was something detroit really focused on--- early on while Thompson was playing i swear there were 3 guys boxing him out on the offensive glass- probably why the shooters went off like they did--- eventually the Cavs just abandoned playing big and had Frye and Love play a lot of center....obviously playing Love and Frye at center has its spacing and shooting advantages- but - like you said- especially against a good rebounding team like Detroit they are open to getting beat up on the boards a little.

Yah the turnovers were a little concerning too--- all though- in game 1 they really did a great job handling the ball......Delly and Irving- the PGs really handled the ballwwell and only had 2 turnovers between them...

I guess I should empathize the "doubt" part for those that are mentally challenged.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but someone shove a basketball in Stanley Johnson's mouth to shut his the hell up.

-Johnson (talking about LeBron): "I'm definitely in his head, that's for sure."

LeBron gm. 1: 9-17 (0-3) 4-4 22 pts, 6 rebs, 11 asts, 2 stls, 2 blks (+18 when he was on the floor)
game 2: 12-18 (2-4) 1-3 27 pts, 6 rebs, 3 asts, 3 stls (+10)

Stanley gm. 1: 3-4 (3-3) 9 pts, 8 rebs (+1)
game 2: 4-7 (1-2) 9 pts, 2 rebs (-20)

Yep Stanley Johnson is really in LeBron head.:L

when teams are scared they start talking in the media about this kind of stuff- whether its foul calls or physicality or being in the other teams head etc....you dont see any of this crap coming from the Cavs- just the Pistons...no team in the East wants to face the Cavs.

You prob won't see much, because Heat fans for the most part don't troll.
Cavs did what they are supposed to do (win vs an 8 seed).
In addition, they hit 20+ 3's which is crazy good.

Only knit picking I will do is your love fest with Drummond.
Fact is, if the Pistons are ever on a run, all the Cavs have to do is foul him in a few possessions in a row to end it.

#sweep

you think the pistons make the playoffs if you switch Whiteside for Drummond? I sure as hell dont- dont know many people that do.

and wow...Whiteside is NOT good at post defense...NOT AT ALL....and everyone knew that FAR before this series started.

Great rim protector- especially coming over on help....
