If you havent seen it yet, check out Biz chirps Marchant after their game and his Marcahnts reply is hillarious.

Game like when Bisonnette played? I couldn't find one but I did find the one from a few days ago where Marchand says "beat the wheels off you" to him regarding the fight which I thought was hilarious.

Looking for some Buster information and stumbled on this:

Looks like another volunteer writing position so it isn't from TSN or Hradek or anything but clearly a month ago the (lack of) production was already a concern.

At the time of this article, 13GP/0G/5A/.385 PPG. Fast forward to now G26 - essentially double the GP - he's at 12GP/3G/3A/.50 PPG. Clearly better but not good enough considering where, who, what situations and how much he plays. A grand total of 25GP/3G/8A/.44 PPG is not acceptable especially for $6.25 million. That comes out to 36pts on the year which is one hell of an ugly look for a guy who was expected to exceed last season and take a huge step forward.

I rag on the guy constantly, and what the writer says is true (great hands, speed, skill, size) but he's also correct about his lack of aggression and playing soft perimeter. Dude needs to develop a mean streak and bully his way around and to the net. The dangles and flash are great but will not get the job done.

It would he an extremely unpopular opinion and piss off a bunch of Kingsters but a scratch or two is way overdue. The Kings did that with many good prospects before (Corvo, Vilardi, etc) to reset their game and it worked.

While encouraging its slightly better numbers than Buster. Tho I do think he (Greentree) will be a t6 at least if healthy and fills out without losing skating

His skating is the concern, but with coaching, training and professional help that may be corrected.

Clarke has a strange knock kneed stride and stance and all reports on him indicated that, but so far I don't see it hindering him at the NHL level. Yeah it looks weird but this isn't for style points, he seems to be moving around just fine. It's his decision making and physicality that needs to improve and that should happen with experience and time.

If Greentree pans out, I see a Deadmarsh type player without the skating skills. That would be a coup for LA but again you guys know what I think, a prospect is just that until proven otherwise.

We've seen a ton of guys rip up the OHL/CHL, Hobey Baker award winners, AHL studs (hello Patrick O'Sullivan) and not produce in the NHL but this is promising.

Trouba traded to Ducks for Vaakanainen and a 4th round pick. Ducks take on all $8 million cap hit this year and next.

Trouba isn't Trouba anymore, and the Rags tried to trade him over the summer. He has a full NMC that ended last season so the Rangers were going to waive him and no one would have taken him on while the Rangers would have gotten only about $1.15 million in cap relief. The Ducks can now flip him before the deadline and if they retain say 50% adding a guy like Trouba for two PO runs or depth at half the cost is possible.

Lot of GMs are pissed at Verbeek for making this trade and letting the Rangers off the hook on another bog dollar bad contract and freed up $8 million to make another heavy move. Also Drury has now waived Goodrow and traded their captain during a long term big dollar deal, may deter players from going there or signing long term.

My biggest concern is this clown goes head hunting constantly and the Kings will have to face him another three times.

He pretty much is a black hole defensively but with Gudas and now Trouba on the back end, better keep those heads up. Freeway Faceoff should be more entertaining to say the least this season.

Kreider is also on the block. He's 33 and will be a UFA in summer 2027 and his cap hit is $6.5 million but I love the way this guy plays.

Too much term and money left but if a retention deal could be made I wouldn't mind seeing Bowlby make a run at him. Type of guy who crashes the net and plays hard, I'd just be a afraid Bowlby would somehow negotiate against himself again and overpay.

I don't get why Rangers are struggling. They should be one of the favorites in the East and had been hovering around that for the last few years. I think that Shesterkin contract lingering has not helped. Probably effects his okay and the team, especially when he's wanting to be paid record money.

Trouba got really exploited last year in the playoffs, but I don't get how you can dog your captain like that. What character traits did you even originally see that made you make him Captain to begin with?

Ducks with Gudas and Trouba is crazy on the backend. Kings have a few guys that can mix it up at least now.

Kings give a Formula One racing helmet to the guy in the locker room who "drives the team" most during a game.

I was wondering what that was all about. Personally I got a kick out of the goofy dances Gavrikov started, the helmet thing makes me think of the Get Lucky video from Daft Punk.

Just got paid, 8 years/$92 million ($11.5M AAV). This contract will not age well, he is the highest paid goalie in the NHL behind Hellebuyck, Vasilevsky and Bobrovsky. Dude makes more than Doughty.

Should be interesting to see how he performs. Trouba being moved cleared that space and Drury waster no time using it.

I was thinking the same thing. It still amazes me how these GMs hand out these contracts yet are able to get out of them (PLD for example). My guess is they don't give a crap because they know their shelf lives have an expiration date and the next GM will have a mess to clean up.

Drury has proven to be ruthless though so I'm not surprised. Trouba's wife ia in her last year of residency in NY to become a doctor and why he didn't clear any trades last summer, Drury obviously doesn't give a crap.

Reminds me of Doug Armstrong but with less class. Wonder what Quick is thinking having gone through something similar himself.

Still haven't seen Edmundson mix it up, he's a large man. Jeannot didn't look too hot in his last fight but yeah at least there is a response team now for these two goons. Hope it keeps them honest, you know they'll be gunning for guys like Turcotte and Clarke.

Owen Power didn't see the ice in the NYR Sabres game a good chunk of time because he failed to make a clear on the PK in the first period.

Take notes on Buster Jill, dude needs to sit. I appreciate how the Sabres coaching staff are making Power take accountability. Wish we could say the same for LA.

Hard to make him accountable when your supposed to praise him for everything, benching him would make all the 2chain nutgobblers look bad

If he was benched, Fox would be forced to say "Byfield is under the weather and sitting out the game today. If you look in the pressbox you can see Quinton cheering on his team mates....have you ever seen a player not feeling well able to support his team mates so well? Its uncanny how well he is able to drive this team even while in the press box."

Dan Bylsma has done this with Kraken players this season, most recently with Shane Wright and Oliver Bjorkstrand. Wright got multiple games as a healthy scratch and ever since those two have been on a tear and even playing on the same line together.

So tell me it's just a Kings doing a damage control thing without telling me it's just a Kings doing a damage control thing...

Seriously, it's gotten pathetic. He's on pace for 9G/23A/32 points, that's worse than PLD numbers at $8.5 million and he caught a ton of heat although he was never put in positions to succeed like Buster has been. He's approaching the same 1G in 20-25 games territory like he did from earlt Feb to end of season last year. IDGAF if he's doing "the right things" or being a "200 foot player", he got $6.25 million to score.

I said anything less than 60-70 points this season would be a failure and that is coming true. At G28, to hit 60 points he would need to score .94 PPG the rest of the way, to hit 70 he would need to score 1.13 PPG the rest of the way.

That simply is not going to happen and if anything should raise the question again of was he worth the 2OA?
