And I agree with that and that is why I said that Seattle was the better team.

However, this is where I think we disagree. You think that if Seattle's defense plays their A game, it automatically equates to Denver's offense playing their F game. On the other hand, I think that it is possible for both Seattle's defense and Denver's offense to play well. That did not happen.

I did say Denver made some mistakes, and maybe more importantly, there were some fortunate bounces that went our way. I just think it is hard to say how much of it really should be blamed on Denver. Momentum is an odd thing in football. They could never get going and some of it was those bounces and the few mistakes they made, and much of it was a defense they clearly couldn't handle on this day. All we disagree on is maybe the extent of where that line goes.

Why would I even fucking care? You think I have something against Seattle? Let me fill you in on a little secret. My team is the Bears. My rival is the Packers and after that, teams in the NFC North. And if anything, Manning was on the team that beat my team in the Superbowl so I should have some angst against him winning again. I could give a rats ass as far as rooting interest goes against Seattle. I just wanted to see a good game.

LOB is absolutely in the conversation. I can't really speak to who is the best out of the '85 Bears, Steel Curtain, '00 Ravens, '02 Bucs, '13 Hawks because I have only seen 3 of the 5 play. Of those three I'd go 13 Hawks, 00 Ravens, 02 Bucs.

Nope, they're not.

The top 3 are interchangeable, pretty much. Pick a Steelers team from the 70's....be it '74, '76 or '78. One of those.

The other 2 are the '85 Bears and '00 Ravens.

That's it.

I put the '13 Seahawks up there with the '08 Steelers and '02 Bucs.

Um, the 1985 Bears gave up -19 yards in the first half, and New England didn't even get into positive yards until garbage time.

the 1985 bears faced the #10 offense in the league, Seahawks faced the #1 offense. Point, Seattle

Also, the rules have changed to make this a much more offensive, higher scoring league than it was in 1985. Point, Seattle

Ummm...no. It's certainly not better than the 00' Ravens. Forget about the more dominating regular season, the '00 Ravens only gave up 1 offensive TD in 4 postseason games. This included games against the #2 and #3 offenses that year.

I understand your view but disagree. The rules have changed since the heavily favoring offenses and this defense became the first since 85 to lead the league in points, yards, and turnovers. Then they totally dominated the best offense in league History against one of the best qb's ever. Sorry, but I say this one over all since 85 and I see no argument that would chance my mind.

Let me add that almost all of the posters on this site told us how average or bad our offense is. That defense won many of games this year.

You all can't talk shit about our offense and not credit the defense as being even more elite then.

How many other defenses you guys want to bring up had worse offenses?
