Its not a huge surprise that he didnt go in the 1st, but he probably won't last long in the 2nd. If he is there when we pick at 49 we need to be standing there with the card.

But if 2 or 3 players weren't available, I personally still would have been good with taking him at 17. His talent and what he brings is worth that pick. We just got lucky that before us, everyone went goo goo over QBs and WRs.

What's amazing to me in the NFL draft 1st is the amount of teams that take the "safe" pick and then there are some teams that really reach on a player they fall in love with.

I must have missed the part where those of us who wanted Cook threw a fit and started hoping Allen would fail because we wanted Cook.

I think those of us that wanted Cook are HIGHLY offended to even have it insinuated we would ever "Pull a Dean" as you put it.

I haven't seen anyone talk about Cook's fumble concerns. He fumble every 64 touches, that's why Jones is sitting on the bench. I'll take Mixon everyday over Cook. I also haven't seen any talk about DeDe Westbrook, the kid can fly and track the ball in the air like Jackson. Most mocks have him round 3-4 but I think he is 2nd round talent, would love to use one our 4th on him.

I was wrong about CM going in the first; however, I am not totally surprised. You still fail to understand why I believed he wouldn't go in the first. It wasn't based on talent. It was based on position. While I may have been wrong on CM, I was the only one saying Cook and Mixon wouldn't go in the first.
