Who said that?I miss the old days then Horton-Tucker was the most valuable trade piece in history of all sports.
John Q HyperboleWho said that?
They'd have to give up more salary. Maybe if they want to dump Brogdon or Turner, but that's a lot for Westbrook.I read elsewhere that the pacers might do a hield/Westbrook type deal
But I don’t see why unless they got firsts
1/3 isn't half.Correct. Just 1/3 of the season. AD missed half the season

Why are we wasting time with trades, I say we build an age reversal machine and just bring back prime West, Kareem, and Magic
That was the first thought, but you have timeline issues. You want time travel they can have Wilt ChamberlainWhy not just time travel and bring them back from the past?
Doesn't just have to be Lakers legends. Prime Jordan, prime Steph, prime Durant...That was the first thought, but you have timeline issues. You want time travel they can have Wilt Chamberlain
Original teams would still own the rights though, then we are back to trades, and trading Westbrook for prime Jordan would require a future first. Just not worth itDoesn't just have to be Lakers legends. Prime Jordan, prime Steph, prime Durant...
Does salary normalize?Original teams would still own the rights though, then we are back to trades, and trading Westbrook for prime Jordan would require a future first. Just not worth it
Not many teams have cash available and if he does.....it'll be a lottery team. He still young enough to get a huge deal later in his career.
Yep. LOL.James missed as much time as Jimmie Butler
Like you saying Embiid is the MVP.
He hasn’t gotten paid yet.
It is ridiculously unrealistic to expect a guy in his position to pass up a bigger deal. This might be his only chance to get a relatively big deal and he needs to cash in now.
I’m curious what he does.
Take a multi year mle or maybe one year full mle?
Maybe a team like Detroit gives him a comfy one year deal for more?
Possible.
But if he takes a 1 year, taking it in a place like Detroit where he will have a bigger role and make more money is the way to do it.
