So, I've got my kid tickets to the Carolina Panthers season opener against the Hawks. I gotta tell you, I think that is going to be a tough game for Seattle, much tougher than you would expect. I still think that Seattle will start the season 1-0, but I think that game is going to be a nail biter.

Don't like starting the season for Seattle on the East Coast, and immediately with a 1:00 p.m. start time...

I think Seattle wins it 20-17, but it's a tough football game.

What does everyone else think? Seeing ESPN posters come over only to wander back to ESPN has me thinking why?

Will everybody loves a good argument. Some good back and forth with real fans (not trolls or village idiots) would provide for a good back and forth. I think that is what is missing here.

Talking football is fine and all but you need some passion that arguing with others provide. Having everything being love and respect for all things Seahawks doesn't make for a interesting board.

Can we make this happen?

It's up to you guys - you're a mod, so if you want to sticky a thread, or just allow sparring in the other threads, it's your call. It's offseason, so it's kind of tough to get relevant football talk, concerning one team, going right now. Y'alls call.

I just feel we need a thread to welcome everyone. I expect some new members shortly ( sure hope I'm not wrong)

I'm from the ESPN board where I go by haroldseattle I'm trying to get my handle here changed to that. I'm a die hard Seahawk fan, as I'm sure you are to. Anyway, I like to get to know the CBS posters, I heard that some of you really go deep with the research. That's great ! On the ESPN board we have guys that are draftohlics and know there stuff, now if we can just get them to start posting here.

Lets start introducing ourselves to each other.

Its refreshing to read whole threads that concentrate on football, and people staying on the topic of the subject of that thread. I personally am never going to subject myself to unmonitered ESPN boards and lowbrow personal attacks, and Debby Downer losers like briwas and Educasion. I don't know how long I could wait for this oppportunity to talk to real Seattle Seahawks fans and not be subject to the Great Persian Army of trolls. It was like 300.

Hey Hawk Fans,

New here from the ESPN boards. I haven't posted in about 7 or 8 years, but I always liked stopping by to see what everyone was talking about. Sad to see the decline in the last couple years with the 9ers trolls. I used to go by the handle WestCoastOffense23 back in the day. Saw a post yesterday that mentioned SportsHoopla and decided to check it out. Seems like there is a good group coming together here so I'll start posting on a regular basis. Love the way the mods regulate...very refreshing.

Anyway, cheers to a great season and looking forward to talking football!

The thing to remember is you need 20 posts before you can start a thread ( need to keep the spam away). That's not hard just start responding to some of the threads, heck you could do 20 posts today.
